Hopefully my final accessory question, but trying to get all of it ordered this weekend so it’s ready to go when my peloton arrives in a few weeks. How narrow are the cycling shoes? Was thinking I’d buy a pair off Amazon but they look super narrow. I have wider feet, but don’t wear “wide” shoes. I don’t think it’ll be a huge issue, but figured I’d ask in here if anyone found wider cycling shoes necessary.
if there is a cycling shop near you go to it and try on a pair of shoes. I wear regular shoes so couldn’t tell you if these are bad for anyone with wide feet.
I assume you don’t have any issues with regular shoes? I used to ride an actual bike and never had any issues with my Asics type running shoes. I guess I assume
no I don’t have any issues with regular or cycling shoes. For outdoor cycling I used some Fox hybrid type and for peloton I just use their shoes. Again the best thing I can tell you (if you can) go to a cycling shop and try shoes on.
Daniel Ocean I just heard Emma give you a shout-out on the 30 min 90’s rock ride along with a little chuckle at your name.
Finally hit a big goal of mine. Hit 402kj on Ally's new Sundays with Love 30 min ride yesterday. A few thoughts: - No pre-ride stretch or warmup. I intended on doing an easy ride. - I did the entire 4 minute warmup at her pace (easy). Right towards the end I realized I was "feeling" it. Booked it from there and for the rest of the ride. I think if I pushed, did a 5 minute warmup ride and ignored the warmup I could have scored a 430-450. Anyways, onto 500!
Went outside of my instructor comfort zone. Took classes with Leanne, Jenn Sherman and Tunde. Other than maybe Leanne I can’t imagine taking classes with Sherman or Tunde again. I feel horrible for saying this but then two along with Christine are not attractive to me and there enough good and attractive instructors that I see no point in taking classes with them. And yes I realize how shitty that makes me sound. I just think you need a combination of looks music and personality to keep me engaged.
Tunde has so really difficult rides. Nice to feel something in the resistance call outs for once. I usually have to be so much higher.
Wife got a peloton and I try to ride 1-2 times a week. I pick my rides pretty much strictly based off the music. Have actually done more rides with guy instructors so far just because I only look at the music playlist. What female instructors should I be picking if I want some eye candy while pedaling? Have done a couple Emma classes but that’s it.
What is your music style? If EDM/house Olivia is the best. Also Jess is right there if you want some crazy mixed in.
I took a bootcamp ride today and saw peloton free weights but don’t see them on the site (unless I missed it). Anybody know if they are for sale to the public? 10/15/20 pounds I think were used
I think they usually sale but aren’t currently in stock. I’ve seen them before there is just a shortage right now.
I like pretty much any music besides country. Mostly have done classic rock and hip hop rides so far. If I’m looking they might as well have them thangs.
Seems like we’re on the same wavelength with riders, have you taken a Jess Sims bootcamp ride? How did you like it?
I’ve taken 3, two 45 minutes and one 60 minute ride. They might be my favorite classes. Jess Sms might be my favorite overall instructor (combination of running, strength, stretching and cycling). Emma is BAE but Simms is a close second.
I like tunde. Best are jess simms, kendall, and Emma. As far as dudes go, Dennis is my favorite instructor. If you're into yoga, go Dennis and Adhiti.
My favorite instructors are Emma, Olivia and Dennis. I'll take Olivia, Kendall, and Emma in that order.
Do you have any control over the date? I'm thinking about bike+ as a christmas purchase, but want to kinda time it out.
