Could be some bad flooding tonight/tomorrow this thing is hitting in the worst possible spot for Tampa
and that is? Ive paid little attention to this until we got the calm daycare is closed at 3 and all day tomorrow. Masters Thursday off to a hot start.
Landfall just north of Tampa bay is the worst possible landfall location it results in onshore winds forcing water up into the bay. It’s also coinciding with high tide late tonight. So it’s going to flood. Question is how much? landfall south of the bay winds force water out of the bay
12+ hours of a bad thunderstorm and anytime you go more than 30 minutes without power it's miserable.
They're putting down a new driveway in my front yard currently with pavers all over the place. I pipe broke in my house last week and my kitchen/living room has almost no drywall on the ceiling. My kitchen sink has some massive blockage in it. Hurricane coming through.
Naples somehow got soared again.. been a bit windy and rainy which has sucked to walk the dog in but otherwise not bad at all
Tampa lucked out again. If this was a cat 2+ we’d be in for a rough night. Think the normal flood areas will get it, hopefully nothing too major
Sounds like St.Pete’s been getting smacked pretty good Some decent gusts and a ton of rain down here in Sarasota
Strong gusts in the Heights but no flooding on my immediate block given our elevation. I’m tempted to walk down to the river. The park was underwater a few hours ago.
Update: walked to the river. It’s well over its bank and completely flooded the park. Spoiler [\spoiler]
If a hurricane took this route in August the city functionally wouldn't exist, it's scary to think about.
My street is flooded up to my front porch. Flag pole ripped right off the wall. Update. Flood is gone. although my buddy down street had 3 inches of water in house throughout.
Went to St Petersburg pier tonight for dinner, it truly is a different planet than DC. Staying another week, gonna need to get tested before going back to work
