Just raided some breakage from a big OH drop in jersey. DDH Forever ever and DDH superfun for the next few nights.
The Electro is about 2 months old, I finished my last one today and it was still drinking surprisingly well.
lol I think I got the beer in early November but still drinking nicely. I found it in the back of the fridge the other day pretty sure I bought you that one the same day
I’m an idiot. didn’t try the last batch of electro...heard Idaho7 was a little off this year but it’s always been one of my absolute favorites
was at the liquor store too early this morning to get the drekker drop going to laugh when i stop tomorrow and it's 90% gone
Nostalgia. First big stout I ever had. Freshman year my buddy lifted one from his frat formal and sold it to me for $5.
Follow up: I never spoke to him again after freshman year. I considered adding that note because I knew someone was going to pick up on that.
It'll never not be weird just seeing KBS, Black Ops, etc. just sitting on shelves considering the lengths you used to have to go to get it. 10 years changed a lot in the world of beer.
{calling friends} ”HOLY SHIT — Glenn at University Heights Heinens is going to hold TWO bottles of KBS for me!!!! {CBS sits on shelves}
While you’re here, do you hit Wren House a lot? The last couple of times I’ve been in PHX I’ve really fallen in love with the place.
They're probably the best brewery, or at least second best, in the valley. I don't buy a lot of their stuff because they don't distribute to the bottle shop I frequent and a lot of other places but that's just my laziness of not driving 15 minutes when I don't have to on a regular basis. If they have incredible releases I will go get it though and am hoping they'll sell me some kegs for our wedding "celebration" in the spring (we already did the official thing) if we can do it. Their tap room is also incredible. They just bought a relatively large production facility about 1.5 hours north in Prescott where it sounds like they are going to do their more mainstream stuff and focus their old facility on their barrel/experimental program. Big things ahead for them.
If you haven't already I would suggest hitting up Arizona Wilderness the next time you're in the area. They have a huge open beer garden in downtown Phoenix and it's about the only place I've felt comfortable going to have a beer these days.
