Also, why doesn't Rees move the pocket more? Roll outs/bootlegs...give book more time plus a run option. Maybe they have and I'm just not processing it cause book chooses to run out of bounds for a 2 yard loss rather than throw it away

 

Moving the pocket is one thing but the lack of screen game and quick throws is what kills me. The design of nd’s screen game was awesome at the beginning of the year but it seems like they scraped it because book is not comfortable doing it. It would help this offense so much

 

I realize our WRs aren't great, but bama's corners looked beatable 1v1. Just need book to chuck it up and give the WRs a shot

 

Clemson clearly made their DL keep their eye more on Book to keep him in the pocket to shut down lanes, so it would’ve been a good adjustment at halftime to do that for sure

The only thing that works in our favor against Bama is there were several throws last night that it took a big time NFL talent to complete that killed us and Jones is not that. However, their receivers are so much better that they will probably just be running open and that won't be a factor. They are going to have a first round guy matched up against Keys most likely.

Prediction Bama 38 - ND 20.

 

He’s a 5th year senior. Solid player, but will easily be the weakest link on our OL (which isn’t an indictment of him as much as it’s our OL being that good.) With Dickerson, this OL was better than the 2012 unit.

 

We let guys who live ~4 hours from campus to go home, otherwise players go to Saban’s house. We did the same thing for Thanksgiving, just have to trust everyone to be safe and smart again.

I don’t understand how Lugg could be such a downgrade to the rest of the group. I’m not expecting him to be Mustipher, but it looked like we threw a scout team guy out there with the rest of our unit. Hell, couldn’t Kraemer snap as well as Lugg in a shotgun and we can slide someone else in there?

 

playing center is extremely hard, a tackle and center are square peg round hole especially at this level

its commendable he did as well as he did

 

It takes a lot of practice to be able to snap the ball and simultaneously move to block someone. He’s probably worrying about the snap so much that he’s not firing off the ball the way he’d like to. He’s also recently had to overcome a back issue so he’s had even less practice than you’d think. I think he’ll be fine next year back at right tackle.

 

Hamilton apparently only sprained an ankle, so he’ll be ready for Bama. Have to believe Zeke Correll gets a shot if he’s healthy at C.
