I have two huge tubs of legos from my childhood. At the start of quarantine I began a similar quest to sort them all. I gave up after like 2 nights of sorting. It would have taken me so long and I really don't know what I would have done with them after the sorting, thinking on it
I have come to a crossroads of sorts grey do I separate dark and light? same with blue and green and brown did separate tan
Tonight I tackle maybe the buss and start the fire truck question for the pros, I am missing plans for the pizza shop and bike store how do I get plans?
https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions Should be able to search based on keywords if you don't know the set number
Ive tried getting my boy to do that but he has no interest. My dad started doing this with all our older Lego sets, he says he does it for my boy buy I know deep down he enjoys building them while watching some sports on the weekends.
We did the Mario sets for X-Mas this year. It’s pretty damn cool. You link the Mario piece to your phone and then build it levels to run through. It has a light that senses what piece it’s on so as you’re hopping around he’ll scream he’s burning on a fire tile, will ask for air on a water tile, collects coins as he runs through a “level”, it’s pretty cool.
My fingers are crossed that I have the tracks, but my son was very gentle with his toys and both tracks are the same length so I am hopeful
The collection I had growing up I would kill for right now. And I used to throw away the instructions when I got done
Yea. Some of it folds in, the desks/other stuff sitting out all has a spot. Here's the picture on lego.com
Was a crazy end of December and beginning of January, so I haven’t done much building. About to pour a glass of bourbon and do bag 3 of the Falcon Spoiler
Through “4” of the 17 bags.(I use “” because there’s multiple of each number. “Bag” 4 had 4 packs lol). The rooms/compartments are so detailed considering it’s LEGO. This has been a fun build already. Since I have nothing else going I may do 5 today as well. Spoiler
Need some LEGO building horror stories in here. Anyone gotten a fuckton into a build and realized they skipped a step/piece that was a pain to get to?
My fiancée literally dropped my London bus two days ago because she picked it up from the roof. Normally wouldn’t have bothered me much, except we were decorating for our travel-themed wedding shower and had a UK table that it needed to be on yesterday. Had to deconstruct half of it to correct areas that were damaged/fell out. Required me to find the instruction manual online and scroll through tons of pages to find the right areas. But got it done.
That one is awesome AIP - my wife spent a weekend doing what you were doing with sorting legos. I'll have to get a picture at some point. It was my collection from when I was a kid, my nephews collection, and a few my daughter had. Now they are all my daughters and she's starting to really enjoy just pulling out the bins and build stuff. It's pretty awesome - she's so excited to show me new additions to her house she's building. I just ordered this one - Ghostbusters ECTO-1 (10274) - back ordered but should ship by early Feb.
