There’s also the fact that two years ago Robert Kraft was getting $5 handjobs to completion from extorted (at best) immigrant women, got caught on fucking camera, and lawyered/paid his way out of a dead to rights case and everybody knew it. You can be damn sure the league and networks are aware of the optics of burying a star QB that just signed a monster deal who is up to this point an absolute role model and upstanding citizen - and happens to be black - in light of Bob Kraft basically existing outside the law when handjobs and masseuses are involved.
I mean, I guess. But, I really can’t even comprehend someone comparing the two situations. Still, Watson rich guy lawyered up, too. Rusty is probably charging him $1k an hour.
I went back and looked, apparently the Orchid Day Spa was 100% consensual. That’s relevant and undermines my position to an extent. There is daylight between the optics, if informed on both cases. Fortunately we live in a very informed society so this shouldn’t be a problem moving forward.
Wonder if some teams are still calling trying to get a discount on Watson. Texans should have taken the haul for him. If Watson never plays again and this fucks Easterby and McNair I guess that’s one good thing to come from it.
Not sure if I can find an article on it, but one of the massage therapists said they confided in another NFL player and the player said there is a fine line between massages and sexual assault, and said what happened was sexual assault. Saw it on one of the sports shows yesterday. be curious if that player gets named.
I was skeptical the first week of this story just do the timing and the shady lawyer involved, but Watson is obviously a scum bag. Guess it will all come to light soon as the details keep coming.
Checking Tigernet for the latest. Nothing new on Deshaun, but I see Clemson is scheduled to host a "Back the Blue" event April 8, presented by Turning Point USA and hosted by Tomi Lahren! That should be fun
Doc Louis here is a website better suited for you https://www.tigernet.com/forum/category/Tiger-Boards-8
Hard pass on your favorite home away from home. But you can still enjoy reading all those Watson posts since he got banned from here.
Always amazes me that some one can twist the narrative or their beliefs because they are fan of something or someone they don’t even know personally.
For those that would know, compare the attorneys in this case I read somewhere buzbee made a ton in the BP oil case? Is Rusty Hardin the top guy in texas? If this was the CFB playoff rankings are both top 5 attorneys or is Watsons attorney far superior to buzbee?
To Clemson's credit, some people have created a petition to keep them out. But some are enthusiastic about it. Apparently it's had to move to Littlejohn from a smaller venue
Now I'm hoping that this can be traced back to his time at Clemson just so Purple Gunstock 15 has to eat his words.
I wish the Bears would have paid a king's ransom for him before all of this broke because fuck the Bears.
Really though not a fan of the staff at tigernet getting cringy complaining about what sports media say on Twitter. Well that and how they try to get people to click on basketball articles by being vague
SIAP Texans GM Nick Caserio speaks on Deshaun Watson allegations 5 hours ago The number of sexual assault and inappropriate conduct complaints involving Deshaun Watson has intensified over the past week, civil claims against the Houston Texans quarterback that include but are not limited to accusations of the former first-round pick deleting Instagram messages from accusers and trying to get settlements from women that provided him a massage. Watson has denied all allegations and is letting his legal situation run its course before commenting further. Texans general manager Nick Caserio spoke on the developing situation this week. "It's a legal situation, a legal process and we're respectful of that. We certainly take them very seriously," Caserio said during a podcast appearance this week. "The allegations, what's been discussed, are certainly troubling. Organizationally that's not something that we can condone ... those types of actions, but again, we'll let the legal process take care of itself and however it's going to unfold we'll certainly comply and do what we can to try and help and facilitate a resolution for everybody." The Texans had previously released a statement on the accusations earlier in the month, but nothing direct from Caserio. Watson's attorney, Rusty Hardin, released a statement rebutting the allegations of sexual harassment and assault. In his statement, Hardin claims to have “strong evidence” showing that one of the plaintiffs who has brought a case against Watson has attempted to blackmail him, which “calls into question the legitimacy of the other cases as well.” The first civil lawsuit was filed by Buzbee Law Firm on behalf of a female masseuse and made public earlier this month when Tony Buzbee shared an announcement on Instagram. Since then, the number of lawsuits filed by Buzbee is nearing two dozen. Last week, the NFL opened its own investigation into the allegations facing Watson after the first of multiple lawsuits were filed. According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Watson could face discipline from the league even if he is exonerated. Florio suggests the NFL already has enough ammunition to suspend Watson under the league’s personal conduct policy. Florio referenced the league’s 2010 decision to suspend Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger after he was accused of rape in 2009 and then misconduct in a separate incident in 2010. Watson's representation contests all of the accusations against him are false. Hardin claims Buzbee has “orchestrated a circus-like atmosphere by using social media to publicize 14 ‘Jane Doe’ lawsuits,” and that Buzbee has also refused Hardin’s requests “to confidentially provide the names of the plaintiffs so we can fully investigate their claims.”
I think my favorite Clemson take is I hope this didn’t happen here purely out of concern for the program. You can be an idiot and believe Dabo didn’t allow it to happen, but that take is condoning the act and the coverup.
