Been to Franklin and Heim. Franklin was on a different level. Heim was good but doesn’t stick out like Franklin did.
No doubt. I was waiting for that comment. It is a fruit wood so it’s probably light. I’ll try it on a chicken.
Nothing to add except I ate at Bones last night and Fox Bros today. I think I have a brick of meat in my gut. It was all damn good though.
Bone’s is my joint. I can’t wait to get back there. Bone in filet, grit fritters, and creamed spinach for life.
I can’t wait for the new Fox Bros to be within walking distance of me. More of a Marcel guy but Hal’s is legit af. jbr wrong thread but went to Steady Hand today for the first time in a while and it was awesome. We need to grab beers there soon.
Don’t think they have creamed spinach unless I missed it. Had Bone-in ribeye, hashbrowns (which are unreal btw, first time having them) and steamed broccoli. Started with onion rings, grilled baby octopus, lump crab cocktail, and Bones salad. I didn’t eat lunch yesterday and was starving. Was with my wife, brother in law and my sister. It was unreal. Usually try to eat there once a year at least. One of my favorite places to go splurge.
I love the Bone’s salad and crab cocktail. Haven’t been for awhile so hash browns and octopus may be a new thing. You’re doing yourself a disservice by not getting the grit fritters. As a fat person, it’s part of my death row meal.
Pinkertons, Truth, Blood Bros, Roegels, Tejas, Killens, Feges and corkscrew are all a level above Gatlins.
I just made some drunken queso. Could be disgusting or could be alright because I’ll be lit up. I’ll literally keep you posted even if you don’t care at all. we have: Ground sausage 1.5 pounds Two onions minced A bunch of garlic, I can eat garlic raw. A lot of tomatoes diced, baby variety. A ton of cheddar Cream cheese block of the Philadelphia phylum Beer one can Paprika Had no jalapeños so threw some cayenne powder in there. Enough to feel it when you shit tomorrow. Couple hunks of apple in the fire. Oh loaf of my favorite sourdough to get it down. T&PP.
a.tramp I didn’t use any meat church tonight because I’m not a hack, except for the fact that I completely hacked this.
Don’t you also have a rec tec bull? If so we are nearly the same, I have a Weber Genesis II with the seat station burner
I do. I considered whether or not to get the side searing station but I rarely used it on my old Brinkmann model. Figured I'd save a few a bucks.
Question for the board. Has any one besides Taques and devine made the investment into one of these? Heard it’s a necessity for authentic Texas BBQ but I just couldn’t pull the trigger yet. Spoiler
For a couple more bucks you can find one that also fits in the crock pot. That's a little more versatile for Q iyam
Getting one of the 4 burners this week as a wedding present. Unfortunately, I don’t have anywhere to put it, so it’s not going to see the light of day for a while. Looking forward to breaking it out
https://amazingribs.com/tested-reci...gold-south-carolina-mustard-bbq-sauce-recipe/ I like that one a lot One Two
Ah yes, let’s give someone shit for purchasing a grill that meets their personal needs. On a personal note I’ve got these two bad boys on the way
Just an update to this, reading more about blackstone and the culinary models like this one are exclusively for Lowe’s
I need a new ng grill. Are webers still good in the ~$500 game, or should I be looking at something else? Maybe a natural gas version of this pancake device devine's been showing off?
I'd say yes, you can get a Weber Spirit for around 500, the Genesis though is 1k-1200. I know you can get an ng Genesis, I'm not sure on the Spirit.
