May need to dig deeper into Dbls disdain for a 90ovr team cap. Do you NEED multiple 99ovr batters to be competitive in a casual DD league? Do ranked seasons not fill that need of using all the OP players in the game? Got at least 8 of the people in the league saying that 90ovr teams with 5 gold max is a solid rule. If we're playing on All-Star having stacked bats is gonna be 20+ run games. And I don't think there's a way to enable the mercy rule...
I'm at work, any way I can pull a view of my team online? Also, why are there 5 point cutoffs? Mine legit says 93 when I'm in the home section of diamond dynasty. I'm assuming that's not possible, so I think the team I have right now that is 93 is: C: Joe Torre (96) 1B: Jim Thome (96) 2B: Marcus Semien (96) SS: Ernie Banks (94) 3B: Nolan Arenado (90) LF: Willie Stargell (89) CF: Byron Buxton (95) RF: Adam Dunn (95) Bench is something like this: Mike Piazza (91?) Johnny Damon (93) Brandon Crawford (92) JD Martinez (87) Shohei Otani (91) SPs: Corbin Burnes (93) Jordan Balazovic (92) Garrett Crochet (94) Greg Maddux (94) Zach Wheeler (94) RP something like this: Rob Dribble (95) Lee Smith (95) Josh Hader (88) Tom Henke (88) Bob Sutter (90?) Liam Hendricks (85) Matt Barnes (88)
You can view your team on theshow.com. The cutoffs because that's how they programmed the game. When you go to create a custom league, there is an option to set a limit on team overall. It is in 5 point increments.
Oh I see what you're saying. I misunderstood you earlier. I thought you meant team overalls went from 95 to 90 so there were no lime 93 overall teams. But I see what you're saying now.
I wasn't clear. It's dumb that they don't lock in rosters though. Theoretically you could just continually rotate out your pitchers and never worry about fatigue from game to game.
SPs would only regain energy towards their next start if they're on the bench. The bigger issue would be people rotating out RPs based on their opponent. Proposed solution is that we "lock" bullpens by having everyone screenshot their bullpen at the start of the season and that's your pen.
Also why the hell is Cole skyrocketing so much? He was 155k yesterday and he's the last F'ing piece I need for the Yankees
another good idea from GBG - you "submit" your roster screenshot to the league at the start. Any changes to your roster have to be announced as well and there could be a maximum number of changes you can make in the season. No swapping in the playoffs
I know the game only allows 90 and 95 but we could easily do 93 and have everyone submit a screenshot of their team and overall and then lock it it. Like already said, any moves have to be announced.
It's annoying that you get kicked out to the home screen allfter every POTM moment, especially on the "3 xbh in 3 games" ones where going through menus and loading takes longer than the game.
So far I got RV +1 from here wanting in. Anybody else that wants to get in shoot me your player ID or XBL gamertag Have 14 teams right now. Will play each team in the league 3 times for the "regular season" Would like to get the league started ASAP so we hopefully at least get through 1-2 full seasons
I'm on ps5. It's not long, like 30 seconds from ending 1 game to starting another, but it's just dumb that it doesn't flow to the next game. Or at least take me back to potm moments tab. I assume it's much worse on old gen.
May change it to just 1 time playing everyone each season if we got 18-20 people. That's a lot of games. If we did that could expand the playoffs to 8 teams. 1 game series until the WS = best of 3
Can you list these guys out? We tried this last year and had a bunch of guys that weren't active itt and that's why it died quickly.
What are y'all thinking, 1-2 games a week? More? Just trying to gauge the time commitment. Definitely interested, but I feel like a squeeze in about as much as I can already, but most of my time is during my lunch break or right after work before the BFF gets home from work.
This is the other part of it. Having 20 guys trying to work around each others schedules ends poorly.
the best way to do it is probably going to be discord or groupme. everyone in it so far that doesn't post ITT plays everyday.
Just throwing this out there, but what about picking a division and only being able to use players inside that?
I jumped in just to keep up with the league. If there ends up being a season 2 and isn't a pain in the ass to add a member/there's a spot I may join y'all.
Trying my hand at the flipping for the first time. Made about 12k in 20 minutes. I wish the website wasn't a giant piece of shit though.
You are correct, jumped on my phone the other night to pick some dudes up and it was dog shit. Meant to tag you but forgot. It's almost not usable.
I use the showzone.io website to figure out what to flip...95% of the time I flip equipment. Find stuff at or near the top of the "Profit/Minute" and/or the "Sales/Minute" column and flip those. I usually pick 4 and open up a new tab for each. To attempt to combat the dogshit servers, I open up a duplicate tab for each so I can switch to it when the first one doesn't load. (or at least be able to look at the duplicate to see what it was I was flipping on that tab) Other than that, just keep updating and adjusting your buy/sell.
Correct, you want shit that moves. There might be some 97 rated player out there with like a $40k profit. Those are horrible, by the time you actually sell it you will have spent hours readjusting your price and worrying about losing your ass. Live Series, TN and diamond equipment below around 5K move pretty quickly and you'll almost never lose your ass. I lost my ass yesterday flipping TN cards but I was a fucking moron flipping them right before the monthly program dropped so I deserved it.
Willpépé TimJimothy is it better to buy at night and sell the next day or vice versa? I've seen something about that before but I can't remember.
Prevailing thought is that the market is at it's highest when there is most volume. You will see patterns on things like equipment and possibly some players who are not live series since their ratings won't fluctuate. If you do that, make sure you know your price points. I personally never do it and I know the prices for quite a bit of gear where I can say, oh that is high or low. Keep in mind higher cost diamond equipment can really make some runs. I think I still have a piece for sale from weeks ago where the current cost to BUY the equipment outright is like 4-5K lower than what I was trying to flip it for. Most sure fire way is just pick shit up that moves and sell it quickly. As you practice and look at numbers you will see that little time is required to make 15-30 grand in 15-20 minutes. Also, later in the games when the innings drop and different content drops you can make insane amounts. One night last year I made 300k in an evening just moving diamond live series.
Holy 3 pages of catching up... I'm be interested in a league - my psn is craigers32 I tried one of these last summer and it was similar to what y'all have said. It was 90 ovr but you could only have 1 common bat and 1 common pitcher. I don't recall if there were min/max on silvers and golds but limiting the commons forced people to play some golds and silvers at least. To keep people from being douchey with their lineups you posted a screenshot of your lineup, but you could make roster moves every 5 games. So you had to use all your SP one time through, but if someone in your lineup was ass you could try a different guy out next time through. We used a discord server and it was pretty smooth. Also, I don't really care if we do 90 or 95 ovr limit but I like 90 just because there are already a ton of 85-92 diamonds that I'll never use other than during some moment.
