Would’ve been cool to NOT send kids to school without a mask mandate and mandatory vaccinations for 12 and up but republicans literally waged biological warfare against people’s kids by stopping any of those things. Anyone who tries to tell me the Taliban are more dangerous than republicans can get fucked
We're probably going to hit a million deaths, if you include all the unaccounted ones, by the end of the year. Like enough to swing major elections in several states.
You inspired me Went to a different urgent care Was in and out in 30 minutes with steroids, cough syrup, antibiotic... blessed
So the booster Moderna submitted for approval is a half dose (50 micrograms vs 100 in a normal dose). Are they any concerns about just getting a 3rd normal shot before they start approving boosters? I got my second shot April 14th. TN is so fucked right now and it's got me worried. pperc
This is what the CDC has for FL for the last several days. Seems legit when TX is reporting 200-300 deaths each day. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailydeaths_newhospitaladmissions
it is legit, they’re counting deaths on the day they happened vs reported which is both more accurate and also a way to make the graph look like it’s always in a steep downward trend. edit: Florida sucks and their reasons for doing it this way are in no way rooted in a desire to be accurate. Wanted to make sure I wasn’t misunderstood.
I had really minor side effects after the second shot (none after the first other than sore arm). Probably a risk I'm willing to take without horrible TN is right now and no sign of it getting better.
By just pure dosage that is still higher than Pfizer's first two shots. They've been doing trials for this already to measure antibody levels as well as side effects, if they settled on 50 micrograms then it's likely that is going to give you a very robust response still.
not discounting how covid feels, because i don't know, but i've never felt worse in my life than when i took prednisone. i kind of hovered in this low level of sleep for about two days that made me feel like i was going nuts and then i tossed the bottle
Thought this was interesting, and probably not a big enough part of the national conversation about booster shots
Theres that, but see that priority is for shots is going to be given unvaxxed and immunocompped people. The latter, hell yeah get them in. The former arent exactly chomping at the bit, and we throw away millions of doses that could've been 3rd shots already.
You mean it's bullshit, they need to open it all up to everyone asap since it appears the evidence is overwhelmingly positive? I agree
Yes It also reads like they arent particularly concerned with updated boosters for delta and some of the other mutants rolling through like mu
Maybe. Further down the thread, they seem more concerned about the large populations of unvaxxed people across the world (a breeding ground for future variants) and how the finite resources can be best utilized
They dump them in weekly, or bi-weekly. All of a sudden there will be 500-1,000 more deaths in the overall category while the new deaths will be in the 8-10 range. And that bigger dump is probably a lie, too.
I can’t wait for the brazilian viper to become an invasive species to the south. Dope parting gift from our Darwin Award candidates.
Yea but by the time they get off their asses and offer the actual booster shoot here, everyone in the state may have it and the hospitals will be overrun. TN is really shitty right now.
healthcare workers are getting burnt out on taking care of sick people who could've avoided this my wife is getting her masters in nursing and is reaching the point of thinking about getting out of nursing because this wave really took a toll after feeling like it was starting to go away back in june
