Dog The Bounty Hunter Might Have Ulterior Motive To Finding Brian Laundrie By Jason Hall September 30, 2021 Duane 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' Chapman may have a possible ulterior motive for his involvement in the search for Brian Laundrie -- the fiancé of Gabby Petito and a person of interest in her death -- who the bounty hunter claims is still alive and he's closing in on. Spoiler Variety.com reports Thinkfactory Media is shopping a new series starring Champan amid his recent insertion into the nationally publicized search for Laundrie. Chapman famously starred in A&E's Dog the Bounty Hunter series for eight seasons, as well as the CMT series Dog and Beth: On the Hunt alongside his late wife, Beth Chapman, for two seasons. The couple was also featured in the A&E special Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives, which chronicled Beth's cancer diagnosis in 2017. Dog's most recently starred in the WGN America series Dog's Most Wanted, which aired in Fall 2019, while another series, Dog's Unleashed, was scheduled to air on the streaming service UnleashedTV before being scrapped, Variety reports. Thinkfactory's latest pitch involving the bounty hunter is reported to chronicle Chapman's day-to-day life and exploits, which would likely include his recent involvement in the search for Laundrie. On Wednesday (September 29), sources with knowledge of the situation told TMZ Champan was moving toward a remote site where Laundrie is believed to be hiding. TMZ reported Chapman claimed he'd "be at the site in less than an hour" at the time of publication at 12:29 ET and the famed bounty hunter obtained information that would lead him to Laundrie, who was believed to be alive and moving around as of 10:00 p.m. Tuesday (September 28). Chapman later shared a video update on his verified Twitter account from a Florida dock Wednesday afternoon, which he specified was from earlier in the morning, claiming "the search now is really on, the search has just begun." "UPDATE: Video is from this morning — earlier today we launched an active and specific search in a key area based on the intelligence we are receiving and researching," Chapman tweeted. "Boat crews and ground teams have been called in and we have search and rescue dogs deployed. More to follow..." On Monday (September 27), Champan told FOX News he received a tip that Laundrie's parents spent the night with their son in Fort De Soto Park on multiple occasions from September 1-3 and September 6-8. "They were registered, went through the gate. They’re on camera. They were here," he told Fox News exclusively on Monday evening. "We think at least if he’s not here right now, we are sure he was caught on camera as he went in the gate — that he was here for sure. Not over in the swamp." However, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office told FOX 35 Orlando that it has received no confirmed tips or signings of Laundrie in response to Chapman's claim. Additionally, FOX News obtained police dispatch audio of Laundrie's mother, Roberta, calling the police on Chapman, who was spotted banging on the door of the North Port, Florida home where Laundrie and Petito lived last Saturday (September 25). “It’s a shame they wouldn’t speak with us. The police said we were welcome to knock on the door so we did. I wanted to tell the Laundries that our goal is to find Brian and bring him in alive,” Chapman told FOX News. On Monday (September 27), authorities in Florida announced they were scaling back efforts as the FBI took over the lead in the investigation into Laundrie's whereabouts. Last week, an arrest warrant was issued for Laundrie after a grand jury indicited him for his "use of unauthorized devices" during the events following the death of Petito, whose remains were found on September 19 in Wyoming and confirmed to be the missing 22-year-old days later. The indictment obtained by CNN accuses Laundrie, 23, of using a debit card and PIN number for accounts that didn't belong to him between August 30 to September 1 in order to make purchases totaling more than $1,000. A source close to Laundrie's family told CNN the 23-year-old left his own wallet and cell phone behind when he was last seen leaving his parents' Florida home 10 days ago after he initially returned to the area from a cross-country road trip without Petito, who was reported missing on September 11. The source added that Laundrie's parents were concerned he might harm himself at the time he left their home. An attorney for Laundrie's family emphasized that the arrest warrant isn't related specifically to Petito's death, rather incidents committed by Laundrie afterward. "It is my understanding that the arrest warrant for Brian Laundrie is related to activities occurring after the death of Gabby Petito and not related to her actual demise," Steve Bertolino said in a statement. "The FBI is focusing on locating Brian and when that occurs the specifics of the charges covered under the indictment will be addressed in the proper forum." "While this warrant allows law enforcement to arrest Mr. Laundrie, the FBI and our partners across the country continue to investigate the facts and circumstances of Ms. Petito's homicide," added FBI Special Agent in Charge Michael Schneider. "We urge individuals with knowledge of Mr. Laundrie's role in this matter or his current whereabouts to contact the FBI." On September 24, local and federal authorities continued to search for Laundrie in the Carlton Reserve, a nature preserve estimated to be around 25,000 acres, in North Port near his family home after pausing September 23 due to darkness . Couple Camped Next To Laundries Before Gabby Petito Reported Missing By Bill Galluccio Spoiler September 30, 2021 A couple from Fort Myers, Florida, claim they saw the Laundrie family camping at Fort DeSoto Park on September 6, just five days before Gabby Petito was reported missing. Petito's body was discovered in a national forest in Wyoming, and her death was ruled a homicide. Brian Laundrie, who returned home from a cross-country road trip without Petito, refused to cooperate with investigators and has since gone missing himself. The couple, who asked to remain anonymous, told WBBH they were looking back at photos from their trip and recognized the red truck and camper owned by the Laundries. They also said that a man who appears to be Brian Laundriewas in the background of a selfie they took with some friends. The couple told the news station that the Laundries kept to themselves during their time camping. "They kept to themselves," the woman said. "They were there, and then they weren't." Authorities confirmed that the FBI is reviewing surveillance footage from the campground, which is about 75 miles from the Laundrie's home in North Port. "Very strange. If somebody I knew was missing, I wouldn't be going camping," the man told WBBH. Dog the Bounty Hunter, who has joined in the manhunt for Laundrie, suggested that Brian could still be hiding out in the campground. He said that Laundrie and his parents arrived at the campground on September 6, but only two people left on September 8. "Allegedly, what we're hearing, is two people left on the 8th. Three people came in on the 6th, and two people left on the 8th. I think he's been here for sure," Chapman told Fox News.
Are we reverting 5 years and making fun of people with mental illness now? Honestly I can say I am disappointed but not surprised by your comment.
no dump is just doing his contrarian/edgy schtick for attention and you're giving it to him and now i am giving it to him by commenting on his lame shit
Why are people blaming the police?? I guess they could have arrested both of them, then they would have gotten back together once out of jail? Clearly they were in a toxic relationship, probably and it eventually ended up with her dead. Do we think she is lying to the police about her hitting him?
In dual assault cases, where both parties are engaging in physical violence against each other, what's the protocol? Did he go to a hotel b/c the van they were living in was hers? They didn't give him a hotel room, they separated the couple and dropped him off at a motel where he paid for the room as they advise the two to separate. If they arrest both of them, the outcome is likely the same. They'd get back together after a night in jail and he'd probably still kill her I'm ACAB, but I don't know why we are blaming them for him being a piece of shit
You bozos are focusing on the wrong part. The hotel thing was just to illustrate that they didn’t take her obvious signs of abuse and trauma into account. They cop said they can’t decide on pressing charges, that it’s mandatory in Utah. They had multiple eyewitness accounts of him striking her and they chose to ignore it. Brian should have been sitting in a Utah jail facing a domestic charge, but was instead left to go. A charge of that nature against Brian or both of them most likely puts distance between them. They verbally acknowledged that they were on a path that likely was going to lead to her murder and ignored it. That’s pretty fucked up.
According to that cop, it's not assault if you later say you didn't mean to hurt the person. I'm sure he feels the same way when a suspect hits him when trying to get away from him.
This is a perfect example of why cops shouldn't be the ones to handle those kinds of situations. At the very least, a social worker should have been involved. That said, it's kind of dangerous to jump on cops for not being more aggressive.
I’m gonna disagree with blaming the police. The witness the police called said she was slapping at him and trying to get in through the driver side door. The officer repeatedly asked if Brian hit her and he said maybe a push as she was trying to get in. The witness described it as looking like little kids. Some of you acting like he straight up punch her. Her friends have said Brian was controlling and Gabby said he had episodes of hearing voices. There is no evidence of previous abuse or her having mentioned him being violent to her friends. None of us have any idea if there was actual history of physical abuse taking place previously. It’s entirely possible he just snapped during a similar situation and killed her. The dudes a piece of shit and a coward but the police don’t have a crystal ball and aren’t trained psychiatrist. It’s pretty clear these two had mental health issues. They were living in a small van in remote locations. It was a recipe for disaster. If he really was hearing voices then there was more going on than just anxiety. I’m not sure how long you all thought either one of those two would have stayed in jail, a day at best. They would have got back together and same shit would have happened likely.
DV charges normally have a mandatory 24 hour hold after arrest time, regardless if it’s 1st,2nd, or 3rd degree. With what I’ve seen, the most he would’ve gotten is DV 3rd. Just a quick search of Utah law, officers can even offer a citation rather than arrest if the officers doesn’t have probable cause to suggest the victim will continue to be in danger which probably would’ve been the case in this situation. If Gabby would’ve stated, “yes, he physically assaulted me and I don’t feel safe” they would’ve arrested him but without a confession, it’s difficult for them to prove probable cause. I get there’s a lot of anti cops on this website but the blame doesn’t lie with them, it’s squarely on Laundrie and their families (assuming this isn’t the first time he’s acted out considering they lived with each other for 2 years).
Sorry, I forgot about the part where victims of dv are vocal about their experiences right away and never go back to their abusers.
So your solution is for cops take every male who was in a fight with their wife into custody. Good plan, nothing wrong with that. but I understand your frustration. This could’ve been avoided. It’s just not fair to put that on the cops. You can’t expect them to just lock up a guy every time there is a fight between a couple. plus most of them probably slap their wives around a little so they don’t see it as too troubling. (That’s kind of a joke)
the cops bear some responsibility. He had enough to hold him. Does that mean she would be alive right now, who knows but to imply he isn’t at fault at all isn’t correct. JFC.
