Read the book forever ago but the first three episodes just came out on HBO Max and holy shit is it great.
Two eps in and it's solid. I'm not the biggest fan of Mackenzie Davis (I couldn't stand her in Halt and Catch Fire). But I'm willing to give this a shot.
I read the book last year and so far really enjoying this. The first episode was a bit hard to watch at times with the current pandemic here.
Watched ep 4 and the end of that shocked me. Thought it might be a dream. Had to put on 30 Rock after that so hope to get a few more eps in this weekend.
When? If you are referring to ep 7, those were just memories and her coming to terms with what happened as an adult vs an 8 year old (whether it was in the present or had already happened) she didn't time travel I think it was a play on the classic fever dream episode which i usually hate but ep 7 might be my favorite
No. My bad. I looked it up and it says 7 episodes. I looked further and there's 3 more TBA. Apologies.
Her in those end of episode what this episode was about things she comes off like super into the craft. She either is going to burn out bad or be an enormous star.
Just finished episode 9, this show is so good. I burned through the book over a weekend in April 2020, and remembered big plot points but had forgotten a lot. Will be sad when it’s over.
Finished ep 9 Spoiler Only issue I have had is Kirsten just seems to have forgot, or is cool with, the fact that Tyler blew up 2 children and her friend. Jeevan scene in the cabin having to let go of Kirsten was brutal. So good. Tribe playing at the end of ep 9 was chef's kiss.
Spoiler not sure she's cool with it. I think she just knew he was her best bet at getting back with the group Also, whose baby is jeevan going to deliver at the airport?
This is the best show on television right now. Just caught up on episodes 8 and 9 tonight. Spoiler So happy Jeevan did not abandon Kiersten. I thought he might have freaked and left her. I am glad he found someone and has been living what looks like a happy life.
Solid final episode. This was a great 10 episode of television that is on my all time list now. just wish we got to hear more of Spoiler jeevan and Kristen’s reunion
I know this is an overused trope but I really think i'll like it better on a rewatch now knowing where the current timeline goes, makes it worth it
Amazing show, will be reading the book ASAP. Spoiler Wasn't sure they were going to give us a Jeevan and Kiersten reunion after Clark was told the doctor had left. Made me cry a little, tbh
Loved it more than the book. That reunion just got me. It was a beautiful show. The Miranda end was a nice little surprise.
What an incredible 10 episodes. The ending wrecked me. Spoiler the reunion had me feeling the same way as the end of The Leftovers. They captured all of the emotions perfectly without saying much at all.
One of the more beautifully shot shows and the costume design also needs to win some awards. And Dan Romer nails this. I am looping the hell out of this.
