Tennessee is doing a thing were they’ve taken like 8-9 or so preferred walkons. Guys who had offers from Memphis or Sun Belt level teams and given them small NIL deals or something. They couldn’t take but a couple transfers this January, cause they are holding the scholarships at 73 until after spring, and they had like 13 early enrollees.

My guess is we go get Kevin Steele, who is the guy some of our boosters wanted, and make the best of it. I’m not advocating for him, and he certainly wouldn’t be my choice. But hindsight being 20/20, I think Steele would’ve been a better choice than Harsin, given NIL and how this past season played out.

What I don’t understand about Clemson’s recruiting is that after Ty Simpson picked Alabama over Clemson and Tennessee, your coaches called up his dad, Jason Simpson, who is the head coach of UT Martin, and has relationships with every high school coach in the state of Tennessee, and yelled at him for wasting their time. Pretty good odds Ty Simpson transfers from Alabama cause Bryce Young is pretty good and they might get Arch Manning.
Why the hell would Saban hire Joe Cox to do anything? Couple years ago when we needed an OC, Bobo didn't get the job partially because he insisted on bringing joe Cox as tight ends coach.
