He just doesn’t get that he gained listeners because of his take. I think it was brought here yesterday, but stupid people tend to flock to ideology that justifies their own stupid ass thoughts. If you’re on the fence about getting vaccinated and Joe brings on these pseudo experts that back their belief structure, that will absolutely affect their thought process. What he doesn’t get is that pro-vaxx people that listens to his show aren’t going to be swayed by some conspiracy theorists ideas about putting cow paste up your ass. The big issue is those are the people he tries to discredit because above all else Joe is the king of the paste eaters, and he rarely shoots back of people he has shared ideology with. If I listened to his show (I won’t, he’s garbage) and he had Jordan Peterson on talking about the inferiority of blacks people, it would t sway me , because I am not a fucking shitbag. However, if some borderline moron who feels that way but won’t say it listens, it can completely push him over the edge. The same thing applies to vaccines and if they get sick and dies or effects someone and they do, it’s on him. This applies to any of those sad alt right hosts.
Even if it was entirely audience capture, providing a safe haven for those people, telling them they’re right, and allowing them to buttress that belief with a substantial like-minded cohort - that would carry its own body count that would be possible without building such a community. So that still isn’t enough to wash Joe’s hands clean of that blood.
Guy with influence and a platform spouting vaccine hesitancy actually did not influence people to avoid getting vaccinated because reasons
And I’m sure if Rogan actually gave a shit and told his listeners they should get vaccinated, some would. Both can be/are true.
My brother in law is currently, while unvaccinated due in-large-part to Rogan's persuasion, vomiting and acutely ill with early onset Corona. Will update if he dies.
four months prior to trump getting booed not to go out on a limb, but maybe the most popular podcast influenced some attitudes along the way
But that’s not crazy wrong. It’s proven they can still spread and young healthy bodies are gonna get through Covid much easier. If he was telling people on the margin to not get vaccinated then he’s definitely killing people. Trump was talking to a bunch of fat bammers and they wanted him to fuck off
If trump, Rogan and other individuals who have been anti vax had always been pro vaccine many individuals who haven’t gotten it would have. The problem is that they’ve been so vocal about being anti vax that their followers think it’s a conspiracy when they change. Not every anti vaxxer would change because many where anti vax before this. It’s not all or nothing it’s weird to believe anti vaxxers with huge voices have no blood on their hands.
it’s bat shit crazy and wrong. We don’t know enough about Covid (long Covid) to say fuck it get it. Also that’s telling people to say “fuck society who gives a fuck if you get and give it up someone else” .
If we're gonna use Cullman as a measuring stick for the whole world, hoo boy are we fucked PS- unrelated, you should join our discord TP
Ijs that antivaxx is so strong that Cullman and all their Trump flags will turn on Donny if he don’t fly right.
didn't ken jeong dress up as a "dark elf" or something in that episode of community and it wasn't portraying a black person?
yes he was literally black. He wasn’t the hue of any person. He was depicting a fictional character. This isn’t “black face”.
VaxRule got the right stuff. Tired of all these venomous, long-winded dissections of one's essence and motivations. Let's advance to good ol' Shakespearian shit grenades @KMB thou art a boil
Didn't hundreds of doctors and scientists sign a letter saying that vaccine misinformation from Rogan's show was a public health menace?
I spent an unacceptable amount of time attempting to figure out if that was a joke or if Segal actually doesn't stand in his last 3 movies.
Heard a really good interview with David Cross where Rogan trending moron came up and he mentioned that Russell Brand is headed that way too, which I was not aware of.
he has a podcast where he loves to talk about how the mainstream media is the problem and they don’t show the truth and real stories.
