I like the music in her classes for the most part. She talks so loud that you can go more music but still get the instructions.
She has to be one of the most "More music, less instructor" button pushed instructors. She is incredibly annoying but she is good at the class plans and music so I keep taking her. Her obsession with getting older is the most underrated annoying things about her.
After the Super Bowl I took the Eminem class with Denis. I don’t know if they could have picked a more awkward instructor for it.
I took this class last week and agree completely. He doesn’t seem like an instructor I’ll take many classes with
Yeah I don’t think he’s a bad instructor or anything but between kind of singing some lyrics, kind of head nodding and moving his arms, and the staring at the camera in dead silence, it was an interesting experience.
Denis is so awkward and I love him for it. He just seems like a regular guy who somehow got teleported to a Peloton studio and had to lead a class. I can see why he's not for everyone but I feel like he balances out the other instructors well.
I've always enjoyed Dennis as an instructor. Usually do his rock stuff, but appreciate he also does rap.
tread arrived today and setup in 30 minutes. have had nothing but great experiences with delivery and setup.
Kendall posting like 5-6 new rides the last couple days, but no rock related rides, is a bummer Dennis is growing on me, especially when he nerds out over time signatures and BPM in songs, tho I imagine its very annoying to some
They're timed. You choose one of four levels and then it creates a course for you with checkpoints (ie you get points in one area for being on beat and another just for having your resistance in a certain range) I know not everyone will like it but I've been looking for a way to do peloton without hearing about an instructor's grocery trip and this does it way better than scenic
Yeah I was thinking this will be a good change up from the PZ rides and hopefully a way to get a little refreshed since I was getting burnt out
There's a survey after you do your first ride. Say you love it but it's too easy...they'll certainly grow the content. Much cheaper than paying talent
took a 5 minute one and it’s awkward. After over 4 years on the bike it felt counterintuitive. Took a “cooldown” one and almost hit 2 miles in 5 minutes because of how the lanes were set up. Seems a little cooler than “just ride” or scenic rides but don’t think I’ll do them much if they don’t fix that issue.
Anyone else always know when their s/o used the bike like this? She can clip in fine but claims she can’t unclip. I actually think there might be something to it with her right shoe, it’s even hard for me to unclip it from here
lol my GF has the same issue when she uses the bike. I’ve had a few friends have trouble too. Once I figured it out after the first couple rides I haven’t had any problems but I swear it’s impossible to explain to people who can’t unclip.
Definitely impossible. I put my shoes on and tried to show her how I do it, then watched her try to unclip and it was pointless
It is definitely for hard pushes. I did one today for 30 minutes and did intermediate and the push was pretty hard. Also depends, at least on mine today, which lane you choose to go on.
I think I need to understand the “game” more it just seemed like I was pushing too hard and adding way too much resistance for a “cool down” ride. I could see doing them and listening to my own music. I noticed you haven’t joined the monthly mileage challenge.
Basically the same thing but yeah my advice to people I know that get the bike is squash the bug. I have to guess, people just don’t put enough of their weight down before twisting the cleat.
Took my cleats to the retail location here in Austin last year and had them 'professionally' tightened and have had no issues clipping out ever since
Did they make sure they were in the proper position for your foot before tightening? I think mine are good, but I’d be curious to know if they’re off slightly
After cranking the cleats as tight as I could possibly get them, she successfully unclipped today. Making progress
The cleat disengagement was the hardest part for me the first few times when my wife was explaining it (she was home for setup). The stomping out a cig is a great analogy. It’s a piece of cake at this point but still made me feel kind of dumb the first few times.
Did an hour ride today, but the app only shows 33 minutes. All that was shared to strava, too. First time this has happened, but I do not like it.
