A man can dream. Still annoyed he acted like he was gonna start dropping things faster after Daytona and then we got nothing.
It’s just absolute sauce from 1-12. It’s not just no skips it’s just heat. Maybe my favorite first listen since Alfredo
I think Uncle Bun is my favorite track after the first couple of listens. That beat sounds like it lurks in some back alley and has gutted multiple people.
https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/blu-and-exile-below-the-heavens/ hell yeah...couldn't care less what their rating is, but I'll read damn near anything about the album
i’m happy that i’ve been able to live in the era of wu, tribe, outkast, the roots, little brother, west coast and griselda
I mean, he starts with cigarette and keeps the scheme going till he ends with threat. Lyrical cohesion throughout. Incredible
Man he is such a good interview Him remembering a conversation between Earl and himself a few years back talking about both of them looking up to DOOM and Blu and already being bigger than they were is a cool moment
So snoop pulled all the death row albums off streaming services. He's gonna wind up selling them as bullshit NFTs like he did this latest compilation album I bet.
One of my favorite projects of the past year. He just released the offline version on streaming platforms with the songs that weren't on the LP like Hazard Duty Pay
Hyped for more Denzel, fine list of producers too side note: I appreciate that producers are getting mentioned more these days
I had to stop and write this, I’m only on X-Wings on this new Denzel Curry album and it’s pure perfection so far. The way he comes in on X-Wings about Mac Miller and Biggie. Ain’t No Way…add that to the list of tracks that get me swerving on the road like Mad Max. There’s even more weight/heft to Walkin’
Melt Session #1 or the entire album? Either way…..Shit is phenomenal. Wasn’t prepared for that when I pressed play
The entire album. This is amazing. I can’t believe how cohesive the production is. Features kill it and Curry is on top of his game while being incredibly personal.
Don't post much in here, but had to stop in to agree that Melt is absolutely incredible. Instant classic.
I know I may get overly excited about albums in here a lot but this Denzel album is really spectacular. The way it flows sonically, the state of the world lyrical aesthetic, Denzel being Denzel. It’s innovative while being pleasant to listen to.
How Luke Skywalker, Muay Thai, and the Roots Inspired Denzel Curry’s New Album https://pitchfork.com/features/moodboard/denzel-curry-melt-my-eyez-see-your-future-interview/ Spoiler "After I watched that episode, I knew that’s what the rap game needed right now. Everybody else in the rap game got red lightsabers and shit"
