My thing is, those scenes of that crew are so boring and painful. The Will/Mike van heart to heart was delivered with zero pauses or breaks in the lines, just a relentless train of words, and the next scene was something from Max and she delivered it with pacing and gravitas. Long story short, Argyle is vital to take the edge off of that void.
While I enjoyed the season, the last episode left me with “2.5 hours for this?” Totally on board with your take. Like the last two eps were four hours.
Lol at this fucktard Audrew. 4,1,3,2 Loved this season. 4-7 were especially good, and Eddie’s Metallica scene was amazing.
Spoiler Like are they not even going to have a meeting bring up the mega important shit that just happened? It feels like they still don’t know what the other group did.
Just finished think it was the beast season imo. The only thing that make me hesitate is I miss the simplicity of the original bike squad mike lucas Dustin will. Even though the characters they've introduced since have been great a lot of the originals ended up with really bare bones story lines this season because there wasn't enough to have all of them do something meaningful. The reason I still think it's my favorite though is that it gave deeper context to all of the other seasons in a satisfying way. I also think Sadie Caleb and Gaten all gave amazing performances. Plus the show just has superb production from music choices to the effects to the action sequences
nah I mean Will is definitely gay for Mike and struggling to let those feelings out. And in all likelihood him getting kidnapped to the upside down stunted his mental development which is why he still acts like an 8 year old in season 3 when the other guys are maturing. but none of that is expressed well on screen by him crying before he even starts saying his fuckin lines the kid is a terrible terrible actor. Joyce didn’t pass any acting talent onto either of those kids Pretty much this. Very excellent assessment of the situation my dude.
Even though we all know one recoil from one of those old shotguns would dislocate her shoulder instantly.
Just watched a YouTube video from someone going with the the theory that 001 is El’s father. Pretty solid theory with the points the guy used.
Wife saw a theory that the eventual end of the show will be that the kids have been playing some sort of D&D-like rpg in real life and all this has just been their imagination playing out their game
He got lost in an alternate dimension and stalked by a monster for a week when he was 12. It's been 2 years, boohoo, get over it Will!
no show will ever do this type of thing again after St. Elsewhere and the literal decades long backlash and mocking
Not buying that Vecna is the final boss. Mind Flayer could be toying with him. Felt kinda bad for the Jock getting sliced by the gate. This dude lost his girlfriend, sought vengeance because he never knew the truth, and was nice to Lucas in the beginning. He was a dick to Eddie from the start, but that’s high school cliques.
So help me make sure I have my understanding of the upside down correct Spoiler The upside down existed before papa and any of the kids El sent 001 in there during their fight 001 eventually stumbled onto the midflayer, who already existed, and summoned/joined forces. The upside down froze in time on the date that El opened the gate and Will went in. I could be overlooking/missing some stuff.
Spoiler my impression was that the upside down was there but almost unformed. The demidogs (and presumably demigorgon) were already there, but 001 created the mind flayer. He then modeled the upside down after the place he killed his father, Hawkins. Edit: or maybe it was unformed with Vecna and his creations in there until 11 opened the gate in 1983 when it mirrored the place where the gate opened (Hawkins) and became stuck in time.
I thought early on they tried to explain it to him but he wasn’t hearing it then when he saw it with his own eyes at the lake decided to run with the devil worshipping
