It does make some sense for the DOJ to have a press conference and explaining it in detail. I think it's pretty obvious Trump had records he shouldn't have and took them illegally. They needed to be in a highly secured area, not a closet in Florida. A warrant was needed to ensure all documents were returned. This ends the investigation & the retrieval of the highly classified documents. He's not going to be prosecuted for this. I think we all know this. Just explain exactly what you did and why. Transparency is good, I know it will not stop morons or convince them otherwise

Every time there’s a discussion about the likelihood of Trump “wriggling” out of a new mess or how prolific he has always been at “wriggling” out of trouble, I get a mental image of him caught in a tight space and wriggling through it like an octopus and it gives me a good chuckle. It’s a good method to avoid thinking about how much awful, illegal shit he has openly and blatantly gotten away with his entire life.
There's a second definition of "wriggle" that means avoiding with devious means. It's a perfect word for what he does, even without the physical imagery.
