Ok, did some digging and looks like the nerds are saying that thing Luthen had might just be this The crystal he had was blue… Would make sense that it was in his shop, but why carry it around and why emphasize that the crystal is invaluable to him?
why did those fish dudes in the beginning give andor a ride? i couldn't rly understand wtf they were saying
Haven’t read this thread at all yet because I’m not caught up. But I felt compelled to stop by and say that I just finished episode 10 and it was one of the best things I’ve ever watched. Luthen’s speech at the end legitimately gave me goosebumps as I sat on my couch at 1am watching. So damn good.
Luthen is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in a long time. Not just for Star Wars but just in general.
That Maarva speech had me ready to run through a wall. 12 episodes and not a single one was anything other than spectacular. So impressive.
I dont want to say it was unexpected because I think most people looking forward to this had pretty high expectations. But the unexpected part was how far this show exceeded them. Just so damn good.
Of all the Star Wars series to come out on Disney+, I think Andor had the least amount of hype. It seems the less hype the better so far.
Had I known it was the Michael Clayton guy, I would’ve been pretty hyped. But the shit they’ve been putting out had me incredibly burnt out and wasn’t really looking forward to it.
Marrying off her kid to a mobster is pretty low. Im sure they’re setting up taking down the mobster and the husband but it’s a bad look.
don’t necessarily think it’s some master plan and kind of hope it isn’t - it’s what she has to sacrifice for the Rebellion
She became a little more ruthless like Luthen. Luthen became a little more like her. Realized he doesn’t have to manufacture the rebellion. He can trust the people to know what is right. The same stuff they were butting heads over earlier in the season
I don’t hang on their every word (particularly as they were meh on Rogue One) but interested to see how Red Letter Media review this show now.
think they made it kind of a point to show she married her husband only due to her planets customs. Im sure her setting him up as the fall guy hurt, but it’s not even close to the hurt of marrying off her daughter
I don’t think it was setting him up as much as faking out the empire as to the reason she moved her money suspiciously.
Things like that Mon Mothma scene are why this show is so good. Clever, subtle and original writing when it comes to the plot.
she knew her driver was listening as a spy. I assumed she was accusing him of illegally gambling and it seemed like a sore subject like it impacted their relationship in the past. I guess it would not make sense for the level of listening they were doing to act on it
But, yes I understand why she did it to make an excuse for the money. Just saying she openly laid her husband out to dry knowing they were listening
Also Spoiler did anyone for like half a second think Syril was about to be the biggest fake out in tv history?
Rewatching the finale starting with the funeral procession. such a good usage of music to build up to a climax.
Someone on Reddit pointed out that those in the rebellion wear their collars open. Mon Mothma opening hers before picking up Perrin was an intentional cue. Syril keeps that shit buttoned up.
