Why do we give a shit that this is on NYE? I know it tanks the overall ratings, but are you old fucks trying to go party or something? I'm perfectly happy watching this game that night.
My wife has planned a New Year’s Eve party. Told her I’ll be in ATL that night. Hope they have fun at the house
I prefer NYD as it’s typically one of my favorite days of the year and NYE is stupid but with NYD on a Sunday, I’m fine with it
It’s been an established fact on this board since its inception that Ohio eats their own poop. That tells you all you need to know about their corn.
Go to the game and traveling around NYE (driving from the game, flights, hotels, etc.) fucking suck. But also, yeah I’m old so my kids want to do fun things for new years and that doesn’t include their angry father yelling at the TV screen and yelling at herb on the internet.
No thanks, we've been reminded time after time over the years that you guys have no interest in talking with us but now that seems to have changed but the toothpaste doesn't go back in the tube.
“That’s the joke” my man. You all have been doing this in every Michigan thread for years. Now you are all wounded knee about our cocky asses after two wins.
Have watched a few Georgia games and feels like Georgia is a fast start team? OSU is a lot like that in the Big Ten for the most part, it will be interesting to see which team gets off early here.
Yeah, agree with Jake. When we play mediocre to bad teams on the road, we seem to force the run to shorten the game and get the fuck out of there. Couldn't score tds in the RedZone against Mizzou for example. I think weather has been an issue down the stretch and our QB has small hands. We threw only once in the second half against Kentucky, not much against tech, and threw only twice against Tennessee in the last quarter and a half because of rain. With controlled conditions the next game or two I expect Bennett to play well. He will throw a couple you can pick, but if you don't take advantage of those he will hurt you.

We trailed at halftime against Notre Dame (10-7), Penn State (14-13) and Maryland (13-10). Against ND, we won by running the ball and realizing that they weren’t going to move the football. Against Maryland, we blew it open with a 17-0 third quarter. Penn State was a 28-17 fourth quarter. Against Michigan, we wasted every first half opportunity and led 20-17 at half before complete meltdown after half. We had a 16/4 first down advantage at half and 315 yards of offense, but gave up a 69 and 75 yard TD passes. We played like a team waiting to get its ass beat.
This thread is going to have more posts from Michigan fans in the lead up to the Ohio State-Georgia game than we had posts from Michigan fans in the lead up to the Ohio State-Michigan game.
I would not expect OSU to be able run the ball to start the game, but if they hit a few big plays down the field it will open up.
I have no idea what to expect with the OSU ground game. We ran well against a decent Wisconsin rush defense and ran terribly against decent Iowa and Penn State defenses. We ran okay, not great against Michigan. We also haven’t had two healthy RBs since our bye week in October.
Ringo will get picked on a good bit and be good for at least one PI. Then turn around and make a nice INT.
Our offensive stats basically mean nothing. Kirby powers down pretty much every game. There have been multiple games that he's running clock in the second quarter and it's pretty much all run from that point on.
Said this earlier but that may be what we do best. Our guys can't cover for fuck at times but they can really tackle.
Our defensive weakness is the big play, Michigan clearly demonstrated. Michigan ran 35/252, but also hit both 75 and 85 yard runs in the final seven minutes of the game. Those were absolute back breaking defensive lapses, but we played the run well until then. Same with Wisconsin, 35/192, but gave up a 75 yard run in the fourth quarter. The yards count and they were critical errors, but we have been decent against the run. I get what you’re saying about the competition. Big Ten offenses were terrible this year.
I mean you played the run well because you were completely unsound on how you were defending. Hence all the big plays. Once you stopped going cover zero/1 all the time the intermediate chunks were available again. Also their DEs had no idea how to guard a ZR. JTT got completely fucked by JJ on a keeper.
