I assume so, things obviously could have changed but we’ve always been given the opportunity to purchase tickets to these one off games and road games with our season tickets.
Just for Ireland specifically. I always thought you had to buy the tourism package which I hated (and because I didn’t want to spend 15 grand to bring my and my girlfriends navy grad family
It is insane. I have been saving to do it and propose there but some of the key pieces can’t afford it and they looked up the packages and refuse to let me buy it. I am now working on everyone agreeing to go and watch the game at a pub
https://www.ticketmaster.ie/aer-lin...2023-dublin-26-08-2023/event/18005B81F315667D What does this entail And where should I stay in Dublin
Testing my memory but I believe we had opportunity to buy just tickets in 2012. The packages are indeed outrageous.
for the 2020 game that never was, i was able to buy a single (non-alum) pretty easy. Likely go on sale in like March. I opted this time for a hospitality package (basically like $500p). My first trip to Ireland, wanted a guaranteed ticket for me and Mrs. Nachos. Probably not worth it, but whatever
I believe for the other schools that have played there recently, the business strategy has basically been… Step 1 - Create insane flight/hotel/ticket/tailgate/sometimes golf packages for insane amounts of money. If not all of them sell, go to step 2 Step 2 - Offer the ticket/tailgate package by itself, also at an outrageous premium for the tailgate. If not all of them sell, go to step 3 Step 3 - Offer the tickets alone in the 11th hour
I feel like every poster in our group here was going to that 2020 game myself included two kids now so I’m out sadly
Yup, I was thinking about going since I can stay with my buddy there but also didn’t want to miss Burning Man. Those packages are wild and while the flight isn’t too bad and the ticket added to it is was less than the package, it’s still a fucking chunk
Season ticket prices suck ass too My family is legitimately debating giving up our season tickets for the first time since they started buying them back in the 60s Notre Dame’s greed is a shame
I've never been to Ireland. It's my biggest shame. But the summertime is when my business is absolutely insane. So I think I need to go at most 5 nights. Thursday to Monday or Tuesday. Should I just grab the Ticketmaster tickets.
Pretty sure you can buy direct from the university now, they used to be impossible to get, not anymore.
They’ve called me the last couple years trying to sell them to me. I think it’s a $3k donation plus the cost of seats.
The biggest kick in the nutts is when you buy tickets for face from the university and then at game time there are people that can't give them away on the secondary market.
I think this is the route my family is going to go. Just buy from scalpers at the tailgate/gate. They are almost always 50% off face value
Love his film. 247 lists him at 6’2 240 but he doesn’t look it at all. I’d take him at RB, LB, or H-back
I would not wait to buy for Ireland. Much different dynamic for that one as I’m guessing everyone going under there with tickets is going to the game
But I also wouldn’t buy tickets now. Wait until faculty/staff tickets go on sale and other season tickets and see what’s available either directly from ND or on the secondary market. I have no idea if I’ll be able to purchase Ireland or not, but if I can, I’d be happy to buy for someone here
Nice Brey touch that this kid is a high 4 star basketball player and we've only offered him in football lol
sam and Marcus might be the best looking HC/qb combo in the history of football these dudes show up in the club and it’s over, we all move to plan b and really start to think about plan c
yeah I'm just going to make the pilgrimage to the homeland because I've never done it before. So I'm going to defer to you guys what I should do for that game. Ticketmaster has them for $600. Is that a good buy in the end zone or should I hold?
Probably same ones i bought. I think it's worth it (open bar/food/above average seats) - plus, you and I can crush some beers together. internet friends will definitely impress our significant others/guests
just pretend that you went to school together or some shit i seriously have no idea how I would introduce the idea of meeting one of you weirdos to my gf on a trip. Except for Druce i could just tell her that we like to go to high school football games together to look at 2027 prospects and try to decide if notre dame should offer or not, she would see this behavior as totally normal :)
You think this is the right move. What About hotel. I want to stay downtown by the bars to have a few beers at night.
this kid is visiting in April, ND battling Michigan here. He's more an athlete at this point ND is recruiting him like a top 50 player, ignore the ranking
On the topic of Ireland game tickets; I would try to go thru Navy athletic department. In 2012 got 10 great seats for $50 per. They wised up slightly, in 2020 you had to be a “donor”. Think it was a couple hundred bucks. Got refund for the tickets but not the donation in 2020.
We booked at Cassidy's Hotel. Just north of the river, but close enough that we can walk to and from attractions. My wife thought it looked ideal for what we wanted. Didn't want to spend a fortune either because I'm giving Guinness/Jameson all of my $
His film is ridiculous. He’s the next Joe Alt type. Plays TE but will turn into a really athletic tackle. Also a great wrestler No idea how he isn’t ranked. He should be a top 100 kid for sure
