Part of the game. My best friend was the only one that would play as him, though. Also, we played so fucking much that we made our own game types. So like, we’d play complex, and man with the golden gun, but we’d make it so that the person with the golden gun couldn’t leave that area, and everyone else would just storm the fuck out of it. It was great fun.
Most of that development team was fairly new to N64 programming and it particularly shows on the multiplayer. There was no real massively successful first person shooter on the console until Goldeneye came along. Most of that team refined their work on Perfect Dark if you're looking for a more properly polished version.
