Bright side is that we get another year to savior the Longhorn Network before they take it away from us
So we're going 2+7 right? Everyone plays everyone over 4 years? Are there any fights over current permanent rivals. Texas get OU/Aggies? OU gets Texas/Slaw?
2+7 does the same thing. Why do we need 3 permanent? Is there any specific rivalry being left out that demands a 3rd permanent? Feel like the 3rd permanent team will cause a lot of complexity on who gets the 3rd. I know you bams are angling to get Vandy back like old days. I'd enjoy having #Florida Gators back as a perm opponent like it was pre-2003 or whenever. Especially considering they are going back to pre-Spurrier levels of super average
How do you know it is 1 or 3? 2/7 by far makes the most sense and keeps the same (mostly) permanent and adds and extra game
I prefer the 3+6. Seems like a lot of schools have at least 2 historic rivalry games that I would think the SEC would like to keep as an annual matchup. My only prediction is that somehow UGA will find a way to stave off going to College Station until 2027.
1+7 just seems really stupid. I'd prefer UF if we get a 3rd. I'm sure some of our boomers would like to put UT back on. Somehow we'll get fucked with Bama/UGA/LSU
If it's 3+6, my guess is that our permanent pairings will be UGA, UK, & SCAR. Would be happy to be wrong and swap out one of UK or SCAR for Auburn or LSU.
I love that WED's rationale for wanting to play UF for the foreseeable future is our relegation to "pre-Spurrier days". We've finished with a higher ranked recruiting class than AU in 4 of the last 5 years UF has a 10% better win percentage over that same span What he's really hoping is that UF is slipping down to Auburn's level.
2/7 is unbalanced. In the second year of a rotation you’d have a team from the first year as well. 3/6 let’s you create evenly balanced schedules over a 4 year rotation
