Any of y’all have kids into this? I may have accidentally gotten my soon to be 5 year old into it by listening to Poscast with him. I was about to buy him a box but went to Topps and got sticker shock at the prices of the S1 cards so now I’m wondering 1) if any of your kids actually enjoy ripping packs and 2) what recommendations you would have if my main objective is ripping packs for shits and giggles not hitting high value cards.
1) not yet. Daughter is too young, but hoping she has interest when she’s older. 2) buy blasters that fit in your price range. Stuff like Topps series 1/2/update have a lot of cards/pack. If you don’t care about licensing, panini has some cool cards if you care for optics.
Bowman U has college logos and real jerseys this year? I'm probably buying some. Also my LCS website already has them for $125 so may be able to get them cheaper than topps so look around. Edit just pulled trigger on one
Tempted to buy another case of 2022 Heritage HN since it dipped back under $800 & I don’t like the current prices/odds of anything else. I’ve recouped a little over half my cost of the first case so far with 20 cards still at PSA. How well do prior year cards hold up when the current year starts releasing product?
Really wonder if Bowman U takes off a little more now they look more official with logos and real uniforms instead of a draft knockoff like last year
Maybe a little, but it's going to be hard for breakers to drive the price up with it being an NIL product.
Yeah I had thought about conference as well but I haven't looked at the checklist deep enough to see the distribution between the conferences.

It’s not numbered and doesn’t say refractor on the back even though it’s got the shine just like the one in the middle (which does say refractor on the back). The card # on all them is 100. Spoiler

Went to Walmart and caught a decent stock of stuff. Had my choice of as much '23 Topps Series 1. Bought 3 blasters of 2022 Update Series instead.

That might be my favorite design in years. Very similar to the 2014 design w/ Jose Abreu, Mookie and Kris Bryant.
dumb question, but are the bowman 1st in bowman chrome draft any different that the bowman 1st in regular bowman non-draft?
just different players. And Bowman vs Bowman Chrome vs Bowman Draft sometimes have different parallels. For example, bowman chrome has Gold Mini Diamond but no True Blue. Bowman Draft doesn't have Mini Diamond but does have true blue And it's not a dumb question. Bowman is very confusing
No sir. I've seen players 1st base is in one release and 1st autos in another though. Luis Angel Acuna has autos in 2022 Bowman and his base is in 2022 Bowman Chrome.
Pulled trigger on a second Bowman U from my LCS today....wife is going to be mad. Hits were Dillon Gabriel base auto and a /99 Will Shipley auto. No interest in keeping either so if anyone interested in them let me know or will probably end up on ebay
I actually got three autos in my box but yours are better. I got Zach Evans and Austin Stogner /199 and a WR for Miami that I’ve never heard of. Can’t even remember his name but Google told me he transferred somewhere else.
Michigan randomly has two players in this set who have transfered, Anthony and Cade. Had to throw some cheap autos in there I guess because some odd inclusions in 100 card set Also noticed for some reason akeem Dent helmet is still randomly photo shopped and generic
