They can likely get an emergency loan keeper in no clue how good that dude is but a lot of premier league and championship clubs have young keepers who are just chillin right now.
I don’t know how/why we haven’t bought a better option at GK. As a former GK and coach, it’s incredibly frustrating to watch anyone we trot out there. I wish my wife would let me quit doctoring to follow my dreams and be a 35-year-old rookie national league keeper.
Wow Ben Foster? I had no idea he played at wrexham when he was 21. Hope he has enough left in the tank.
I went on a Google rabbit hole to try to find if he would be the first Wrexham player who had actual England caps. Best I can tell there was a guy named Alan Kennedy who played mainly for Liverpool in the 80’s and had 2 caps, then played for Wrexham at age 36/37
Is Ben foster too old to play against dudes who will be working construction next year? People are asking
Hes 39 and has been drinking and podcasting for the last nine months, so kind of yes, somewhat of a question.
I had read earlier in the year that there are different rules for different National League teams and Wrexham was one of the teams that had to follow the transfer window. Historically we have seen them follow it over the past two years. Something must have recently changed or maybe these players aren’t transfers and just free agents? edit: looks like these aren’t transfers.
Alright now we really need to beat these guys. I can only imagine the cloying taste of corn syrup on first bite
honestly me too but I’d hate myself for the rest of the day edit: I sent the tweet to my friend who is a chef and is English and he let me know that high fructose corn syrup is not allowed in Europe so my assumption is off Let’s beat them anyway
ok so gross revenue was 6m, football related costs were 4m, and they spent another 4.9m on non-football related costs to have a total loss of 2.9m? If the new kop construction and the two new pitches are in that number it's not unimaginable, but if they are doing creative stuff like funding the doc with club funds they'll need to tighten up if they are promoted
or they could just totally ignore all the rules and have the manager cry & play the victim in the media while fans make signs about the accountants and lawyers
3.6 mil loans by Ryan and Rob for purchase of racecourse ground and stadium improvements with no pressure for immediate repayment
As a percentage of revenues that is a big loss, but on the flipside they should easily earn that and so much more on merchandising from the show, let alone the fact that revenues from the show probably don't count. I am sure for Ryan and Rob it is not a loss. Going forward they are going to kill it on pre-season revenues and merchandising. If they can meet the demand for shirts they should be able to blow away their current revenue totals and with the stands expansion they should also bring in a lot more.
Most of the EFL teams stream their matches via their websites wonder if wrexham will try to get an espn+ deal in the states
