Interested to see who has more to offer than you guys. That's not a shot at UGA but I'm under the impression that only schools like A&M and Miami are willing to be frivolous enough to offer an insane package that would pull someone away from UGA.
nah it has happened to us a good bit, usually more with the High School recruits. The ridiculously loaded upfront deals arent what we do from my understanding. Texas just did the same thing with Adonai Mitchell but we were able to convince Bear to stay in January. Texas did it with Sydir Mitchell too. Someone def got to him (his brother is the lead influence) over late Feb early March.
My guess of the top 3 willing to spend big are likely miami, michigan state, and usc. Usc hates defense and he's from south Florida, so miami makes the most sense

Rumor is Miami is dropping a bag at our starting RB so they are still trying to spend. Thankfully Demarkus Bowman is apparently the truth so go play at Miami.
Didn't follow uga's season, but it sure seems like a true freshman DL who can contribute on a title team without practicing should just go ahead and take the paycheck

It seems like a dumb decision, there's nowhere he could go where he's going to get developed better than he would at UGA. Sometimes you have to do shit you don't want to do in the short term to get where you want to be long term.
Could be any number of reasons he wants a fresh start. I'm not going to disagree about our program churning out stars, but this isn't necessarily some kiss of death. UGA will be fine. Bear will be fine if he goes elsewhere and works hard.

Carnell Tate has been getting Marvin Harrison level hype and Jelani Thurman looks like our most talented TE in a long time. Should have some decent 2nd year WRs hitting the portal in the not too distant future, freshmen look clearly better.
Damon Wilson has been talked about all spring. M’Pemba looks pretty good too CJ Allen and Raylen Wilson have been talked about as much as Damon Wilson tbh Roderick Robinson at RB. we had 21 mid year enrollees so yeaaa I could keep going we need to drop 3 players to make 85
Fleming is solid when healthy, but he is injured a lot. He missed the first two games in 2022, but then was a solid 4-5 catch a game guy afterward.
