Below Deck:SD Episode 8 Spoiler Gary playing games between Alex and Chase was expected. It seems like he's legitimately bored with this job this season. Colin and Daisy finally hooking up didn't surprise me. But the timeline of events leading up to them ending up in bed together was hilarious. Colin's "Where did that come from" made me laugh out loud. I fully expect Gary to melt over the Colin and Daisy situation. Chase will do something else while damn near blackout to turn the crew and Glenn against him. I got flashbacks to college frat parties from some of his antics.
My problem with her is she is a total dud during the actual show and then comes out firing on all cylinders in the reunion. Lindsey is obviously crazy but she at least seems to understand they are there to make entertainment
Gary seems to be really pressing it with Mads, more so than I can ever remember. He is either trying too hard as she isnt making it easy or its more driven for story. Colin and Daisy is shocking, I truly think she likes/loves Gary but is to afraid to try it. Chase is a moron, and I would be annoyed with him too.
Lindsey is an awful person and its clear that absolutely no one likes her. Paige calling her out for being rude and mentioning that Andy had to step in at one point was amazing. Heres the thing though, Lindsey just isnt good at making it entertaining though, outside of just hating her. IMO, she is generally terrible at trying to play celebrity, and its clear that both her and Carl now rely on being "celebrities". She tries to play everything off and say she doesn't care, or it doesn't bother her, yet she ends up the middle of everything and fights non stop. She also seems to constantly get caught being the person leaking shit, or writing about it in secret, so shes not even smart enough to play the secret villain. Outside of spectacle, shes not really that interesting, and even the "spectacle" is boring as shit at this point. Also, the only reason she was relevant this season was because of Danielle, at least in my view. Watching Danielle become aware and see Lindsey for what she is was festinating, and sucked. Thats the only side of it that was interesting.
It was pretty boring. laying in bed in a cess pool of a room isn’t entertaining to you? One thing I’ve noticed on both SH and BD is they never show the bar stuff like they used to. Seems like since Covid, they’ve really pushed the stuff to stay in house/on the boat. I’m assuming it’s just easier to film but I wonder if it’s also a liability thing? Maybe the bars just finally said no? It was obvious the more popular bars on these shows always didn’t allow it and theyd end up somewhere that was 3/4 empty
I disagree as it still has some great moments. The issue is that they haven't been successful the last 2 years at bringing in new blood that's interesting. all 3 of the new cast members this season were boring and brought nothing to the table. They had a good run before that with Mya, Cierra and Luke. I also think they needed more guys to be there to level it out. Watching Kyle and Chris (and sober Carl) got old quickly and it wasn't enough of a change up. Ironically, I feel like Summer House Marthas Vinyard is having the same issue. None of the people on that show seem to be really interesting, and most of them or flat out boring.
House meetings to vote on every conflict is hilarious. I haven’t learned all the names yet, but the main couple acting like they’re the rulers of the house is so weird. It’s a power trip for them.
I said the exact thing to my SO after episode 2. Gary lives in an environment where he's not there to improve the people that work under him, and he only has to make sure that he stays in good graces with Glenn (Those two clearly spend months at a time together, and Glenn isn't precisely a disciplinary type of boss). He's run the same playbook for hooking up with folks for four seasons now, and it's just pathetic. Ultimately his only way off the show is if he gets one of the stews pregnant.
Gary not liking Alex is purely because Alex is better looking than him. The same thing is going to snowball with Colin as well imo.
My wife said the same thing. Paige was awesome when she first came on the show but now you can tell she's just mailing it in. Hell, they all are. We did a re-watch and seasons 1-4 blow any recent seasons out of the water. Everyone is just too old. They need to make Kory a full-time cast member next year. He makes things way more interesting in the house and it seems like everyone enjoys his company. My wife also wouldn't be upset if Andrea came back either.
I think Kory kind of sucks. That said, I totally agree that they need to bring in new blood. It just needs to be a lot younger. Restock with 25-30 year olds, not 35-40.
paige has always been annoying and a drag, esp when she was attached to hannah. but her being out of fucks to give and throwing constant haymakers at lindsey/carl has been better tv than what she provided in the past. I would love to know what Craig did at kyle's wedding. At least paige admits craig is a try hard for the cameras.
Craig probably got hammered and preachy. Then flipped out when people blew him off like they always do when he gets like that. Caused too big of a scene and was asked to leave.
I still like summer house, but the casting has been pretty bad. Willing to give it another season as long as Lindsay and Carl are gone
I'm willing to give Marthas vineyard another season. The first seasons of these shows are always really bad. I can't ever forget the first season of Potomac where those ladies beat the whole show to death about etiquette, though it was clearly apparent that was a production storyline. Show was much better after they caught their stride
If Lindsay and carl were gone, there'd be no plot lines at all. These shows need 'bad guys' and shit stirrers. Not that I think Carl is a bad guy. I dont think Lindsay really was this season tbh. Except for accusing Mya of hitting on Carl early on. That was ridiculous. Danielle was the psycho this year.
I like the Chris guy summer house brought in, but he needs a buddy he is close to there. They keep casting poorly with the extra male, but I think if you brought in guys who are tight off the show it would help with storylines. mrs fran was in the same sorority as the Sam chick and she is as try hard annoying as it looks. Mya saying you talk too much was spot on. and idk why Gabby casted her lot with carl and lindsey when its clear their time on the show was winding down. I guess she got excluded from the clique and had no other choice, but she should have sat it out rather than coming to lindsey's defense.
he drank a lot and spit terrible game when drunk. I guess i may be grading on a curve against the door knob personal trainer they had last year.
There is no doubt that producers/Lisa knew about this Sandoval and Raquel affair for a long time now. They stated that anytime two cast members are together, they are obligated to film. They wouldn't even let Sandoval and Raquel talk in private during the reunion. All of a sudden when these two are banging for months, they stopped filming? I'm sure they just had to keep their mouths shut so ratings would go up.
Tom didn’t get near enough heat. Narcissists lie and manipulate girls like Rachel with ease. The fire should be towards Tom
My fiancée loves vpr. I picked up goat cheese balls and she grabbed vanderpump rose and we had a watch party. Wasn’t as juicy as I was hoping.
This week. I saw on Peacock there were 2 episodes and then an announcement on Reddit about double episodes in the lead up to the new Down Under season
No wonder it seemed like we missed something. We just went to the newest episode on the YouTube tv dvr. Didn’t realize there were two. We missed the first new one and just watched the second one
