Looks like I was ahead of the steam on the Fresno, Washington, and PSU totals. Interested to see how they play out.
Pitt can be had at -6 at a few shops at the moment... Dr. Bob released Utah as a 3* play, I believe. SMU and Virginia appear to be moving towards -4 and +7, respectively.
bob doesn't look at the actual teams just stats for them. used to look for his picks and follow them religiously until i figured out that all Touts are full of shit and probably don't even bet their own lines. average joes on message boards that actually watch the teams play and base plays on that are more reliable sources
But he likes Cincinnati and Miami Spoiler that was a fun google image search. not even touching it, but Cincinnati should beat Louisville. Miami's should be able to handle UNC's boringball approach to games. btw I have no idea what his picks are
I love that picture, gonna save it Spoiler I believe these are Dr. Bob's plays (c/p from elsewhere): 3*: Utah, Navy, Temple, N Mex St, Utah St 2*: Toledo, Oregon, Baylor, Tulsa Strong Opinion: MiaFL, Mich St
I took Cincy -15 and stayed away from Miami....wow what a fucking regret. Miami blowing UNC out while Cincy throws another pick and goes into half down 16-7 against a shitty Louisville team.
I also had Cincinatti and lost the Toledo game when they allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown with a minute left. How about that South Carolina/Miss St finish where Miss St got the cover on the last play of the game when South Carolina ran out of the end zone on the games final play. This is why gambling is so hard.
Ouch. Louisville pulled that crap on I think it was UNC, maybe GT to ruin the spread. Today was mostly an up and down day for me, biggest thing I hit on was a parlay I'd set earlier in the week and forgot about, involved Clemson winning, Miami winning, and took the over for VT-WF and Bama-Ole Miss. It at least more than offset a pupu platter of 2/3 and 3/4 correct parlay misses. Would have winners right then the Iowa/Northwestern choices were wrong or in one it was right but I'd picked UF to cover, annoying crap like that. So now I'm gonna call it a night and hope ASU pulls off the upset on Oregon. This 1st quarter is the most I've seen ASU play all year. Overall, went 13/16 on today (including 7 parlays, otherwise 13/9, and not including a small drop on ASU) and 1/7 on parlays, nothing huge was laid on those.
Oh awesome, I didn't want to win that 6 game teaser anyway, thanks Georgia. I needed you -6.5 and you choke and win by 5. And COULD have covered if you actually wrap up the sack in the endzone. FUCK. Today I took a beating, but hopefully the NFL will fair better for me tomorrow. Saints -6.5 Patriots -6.5 Raiders -6.5 Steelers -12 Packers -13.5 20 to win 320. Hoping to make up for some of the hits I took today. Spoiler I'm talking to you Pitt, Cincy, S. Carolina, Georgia
saints & panthers ruined what could have been a good thing for me on Sunday. hell if I'd just flipped those two it would have been a good day in a few parlays i picked up for the hell of it. didn't even ask them to win outright just cover, lol.
Haha, yea, I'm the same way. I always come up with ways in my head that a team might cover though I know that logically it would make NO sense for them to do it. Ha.
for the hell of it, even though i'd told myself i'd stay away from watching or betting two bad teams, took a look at how ridiculous some of the odds were last night on jets-dolphins and hit on a few good ones like dolphins losing all quarters, jets margin of victory, touchdown over 41.5 yards, and defense/special teams touchdown (this one ruined a prop bet i'd taken on which Jet would score a TD first though, had picked 3 or 4 guys but not Revis). there were a few hedges i lost on like Dolphins winning a quarter and Dolphins winning outright.
No picks for me this week, unfortunately. I really hate to stop while I'm in the middle of a great run, but that's the way it is sometimes.
Not a lot of great lines this week. I see maybe 5 or 6 I feel really good about. I'll see if any totals stand out to me.
I haven't put in a lot of time prepping for this weekend since I've more or less been forced to take the week off. With that said, I had Southern Miss tabbed as a potential strong play at the beginning of the week. My numbers have them as a 9-point favorite. No opinion on the total.
YTD: 31-28-3 (+42.7 units) Last week: 3-1 (+19 units) Sorry about the late week post. I have been really successful over the past two weeks - so much so that my agent has decided to make himself scarce A frustrating situation indeed. I've been concentrating on trying to rectify the situation and haven't had much time to cap any games. I did want to submit a couple of plays in an attempt to keep my momentum going. There are no write-ups, and I apologize for the lack of substance. Without further adieu... Southern Miss -3 (5 units) Cal -1 (5 units)
This week: 2-0 (+10 units) YTD: 33-28-3 (+52.7 units) 9-1 ATS run since I've made an effort to be selective for the last 3 weeks
Need to cut it back down myself, too hard to do research on more than 3-4 games a week. Are you putting more units on the games you're playing now or keeping it at the levels they were at before being more selective?
The prior two weeks I was playing each game for either 9 or 10 units (my max play). This week I only played for 5 units per play (normal). I'm working through some issues in actually getting paid by my guy, so my outs are limited at the moment. Otherwise I like to press my luck and try to capitalize when I go on runs.
Things still unresolved re: getting paid from the last few weeks, but I have a smaller-volume out that I'll be using in the meantime. One play tonight. No writeups this week. I apologize. YTD: 33-28-3 (+52.7 units) 9-1 ATS run, going all the way back to Week 6 Akron @ Miami (OH) UNDER 48 (5 units) GL
Here is what you need to know about ECU.. 50K fans, USM on the road, CUSA East title on the line, ECU has been the most Dr. J/Mr. Hyde type team this here. You never know which ECU team is going to show up... They play hard enough to keep it close and possible win this weekend though. Do not touch this one. I have some stats to help back up, but drank to much at dinner and don't feel like going that deep. Plus your gut never lies and my gut says no on this one. Taking 2 this week.... Ole Miss -2.5(They cover easy this week), UVA + 2.5,
