For one of the DB quests if you fulfill one of the bonus parts (can't remember what quest or what you have to do), but I know its the one that Gabrielle gives you. Anyways do the quest perfect and she gives you a token to give to some soothsayer in Whiterun and she'll read your fortune. That's what started the Old Assassin quest. It's in maybe Hag's End? I really can't remember. But you find his body and he has Ancient DB armor that has a higher rating than the normal one. I just did all the light armor smithing perks because that's what I wear. Don't know about the Stormcloak thing, but I'm sure it affects stuff along the way somehow. Yeah you can join any guild you want
ahh OK. I have that token, just didn't go see the soothsayer about it. my Misc. quest log must be 30 quests long and then there's another 10 main quests on top of it. I can't stop talking to everyone so even after doing hours of play I end up lengthening my quest log instead of shortening it.
Yeah, mine is absurd right now. I think I'm gonna try to whittle it down when I get home from work instead of just exploring and slaying dragons.
I'm worried when exploring ill stumble into plot points and clear that dungeon out before I'm supposed to.
if you havent started a quest yet chances are radiant AI will place the mission in a place you havent cleared yet, i think its only for smaller quests though
Going to go home and start smithing a ton...this steel armor just isn't cutting it. Need to start making heavy dwarven armor
explore away, they design the game with this in mind so you won't be doing something you aren't supposed to at the wrong time. honestly the thing that makes this a billion times better than Oblivion is almost all the dungeons have an exit. a lot of shit in Oblivion just had the entrance so you had to backtrack constantly after clearing the dungeon.
it also limited dungeon styles in Oblivion. they couldn't be too long or different. now in Skyrim every place can seem wildly different and go on forever and there's no need to backtrack.
Yeah, I love how they make shortcuts back to the start that you unlock at the end of a dungeon. The only ones you have to backtrack in are small enough where it's not annoying.
I can't fucking ever finish quests. Every time I go to another location for a question, I find something new to explore. It's amazing, but man do I have a ton of quests to finish as it is.
Just get leather and iron ingots and make iron daggers repeatedly, you'll level it up real quick. My quest log is the same way, right now I have about 20 quests and then about 25 miscellaneous quests. And if you ever clear out a dungeon and pick up some future quest item it will stay in your inventory, you can't drop it or sell it. And you can't kill main quest givers
So, I'm thinking of starting my character over again, full magic is too easy. Can one shot or two shot most enemies, large groups in tight quarters just throw down runes or berserk one of them, I can take out herds of mammoths and giants given enough time to regen my magic. Thinking about going stealth.
dual magic is too easy? try having 90 sneak and two daggers that do 20 plus damage, coupled with the sneak dagger attacks do 15 times damage and the ancient dark bro hood gloves. every sneak attack i do is 30 times damage.
ok, yeah that sounds pretty easy. Can you still do that to large enemies like trolls, giants, dragons? Just curious, haven't tried playing that way.
you cant sneak attack a dragon, i have one hitted a snow troll but have yet to try on a giant. too afraid to fight one but i will try after i eat dinner/study half-assed so i can play again.
I can almost one-hit a frost dragon with my x3 bow perk. I peg him with an arrow, he aggros and then immediately goes into the crash animation and I put 2 more arrows in him from afar and the fight is over before it began.
How? I've killed probably like 20 of them bitches by now. If you're not getting randomly attacked go to a town's inn and ask the innkeeper if there is any new rumors or jobs, and a lot of times they'll give you a bounty for a dragon and the place will be marked on your map. Have the razor, but I'm using the Blade of Woe for the x15 and the Nightingale blade
I have just been walking around with the only questline I've been focused on being the Dark Brotherhood and I'm not very far into that.
something's wrong. Magic -> Active Effects if it's a disease or something pop a potion or get a blessing from a god.
if you like to sneak, jenassa dat bitch, everyone else just gives you away before you can sneak attack
I plan on joining their rebellion but wondering west of whiterun I ran into a guy saying go to Solitude to join the Legion.
Yeah same thing happened to me, but I never did then when I finally made my way over to Windhelm I talked to Ulfric Stormcloack and joined the rebellion
just used a grind stone to make my two ebony swords, exquisite ebony swords...holy fuck 55 damage a piece
Just took out a whole boat full of faggots on a certain Dark Brotherhood quest. They never even saw me.
Smithing is about to go over 50. Still a long way to go to get some really good shit. Where can I go to get weapons enchanted?
I knew you could do it that way but I was hoping you could pay someone to do it. Next perk is going to be used on arcane blacksmithing then orcish armor is next.
