Tons of bitches at cosmo. It's the new spoiled rich kid hotspot in vegas. Last time I got lost in the hotel/convention part and wandered briefly into a suite party with a bunch of hipster douches. Sweet rooms though.
I didn't see much of it. Their lobby is nuts, though. It was on it's "soft" opening. They said they didn't even have all the rooms finished.
It was in full swing in July. Went to the pizza place upstairs multiple times. Cheap relative to other vegas food options and it's pretty good. A few times they had beer specials too, so you got a slice and a PBR for like $4.
This is a pretty good representation of Cosmo. If youre looking for uppity chicks with trust funds and plastic surgery, this is the place.
I like a cold toilet seat. If I sit on a heated one it reminds me of following someone and knowing you're feeling their ass heat.
I'll try to search out this "hidden" pizza place in Cosmo. I usually eat one big meal a day then just get something cheap for everything else, so this pizza place is going on the list. What are some other good places to eat? I had fat burger last time and it was alright. Other than that I can't remember where I ate at all. I had the Cosmo buffet, but I'm not doing a buffet again. I can't eat enough to justify spending $30 on all you can eat. I'm looking for something that's $30 or less/meal.
Burger Bar in Mandalay is a great, relatively cheap place with an outstanding beer selection. wichcraft in MGM is good for a quick bite.
Hidden pizza is not hidden at all I was so excited to go on an adventure to find this place and there it was. Right off the escalator. Was disappoint until I tried the pizza then I was happy again.
Footlongs from Casino Royale are the best cheap food on that end. Add some nacho cheese and head outside to watch the volcano.
Casino Royale is such a caricature of a Vegas casino. They also have a fast food court. Love that place.
tons of cheap food downtown. love that fitzs is attached to a McDonald's. Nathan's hot dogs in mermaids. had some really good pizza down there last time we went.
the fitz McDonalds. There is a bank of Wheel of Fortune machines right outside. 3 different times we have been there and stopped by McD's to eat. First NYE 09/10 my dad stayed outside and won $2k while we were eating just before midnight. 2nd & 3rd times were this July. Once I stayed out and won $300, 2 nights later after we ate we stopped and my machine hit for $580. It's the one facing towards the casino entrance, to the left if coming from McD's. that machine. Also took the hangover slots for a net profit of $700 over 5 days in july. Put a lot back elsewhere but came home from the trip only down $500 of the $1400 I planned for gambling/food/drink/attractions.
Also usually hit up the Dunkin Donuts inside Fremont. They used to have an awesome steak and eggs and steak dinner special in their restaurant for like $4 but that went away by this july.
I haven't been downtown, but I'll probably go this time. I want to check out some of the older casinos.
It's a lot of fun. Everything is cheaper and it's a pretty good party atmosphere inside and out of places. Definitely a different feel from the strip but still a blast. Easier to casino hop too.
stayed at IP two years ago for the 1st/2nd rounds, sportsbook was shit but we spent 75% of our time at caesar's anyways. honestly, the place was just somewhere where we could sleep, shower, and shit, plus the room was like $70 a night. overall, good value, i guess. stayed at monte carlo last year for 1st/2nd rounds, decent book, and wasnt too crowded, pretty nice/cheap hotel. sbarro is open late. probably will stay at IP again this year though, like caesars and casa fuente.
if i'm not comped (usually palms) then monte carlo is my go to just the right amount of people where it's easy to get on a good table, but not packed where i'm bumping into someone everytime i take a step
Haven't been into MC, but always hear good things. Probably going to hit it pretty good this trip. Seems attainable from a comp standpoint, but still a nice place.
What if several TMB posters donate say $5 or $10 and next time GoodForAnother is in Vegas he bets it on red. Win and TMB gets a big donation. Lose and well nothing really changes.
Someone speak to me of downtown Vegas. Trying to convince my friends to get in on a Thursday since flights are cheaper and the hotel is cheap that night too. Since it is the first night, figured going downtown to old vegas would be a semi laid back (compared to the strip) night. Cheap bars/gambling etc.....
haha I'm here. I got back christmas eve and did christmas stuff then I started work on tuesday so I haven't been on here much. I had an awesome time. Lost ab 6 or $700. All of it was in the last day. I had broken even til then and tried to make some more, but lost it all. It's alright though because that was only ab half of my budget. I didnt go to many restaurants, but I did eat at serendipity 3 one night and it was delicious. Unfortunately I was pretty drunk and the bartender trolled me and the girl I was with that if we drank the entire frozen hot chocolate he'd give it to us for free. We left having paid for it and feeling like shit the rest of the night.
Whenever I go back I'll start a thread. If it hits I'll probably just take it to the craps table and lose it all fwiw
I always have $1 two-way on all the hardways. Dealers me and I get rated way more than I am because of it.
