Marcus Christenson @m_christenson 2m2 minutes ago Breaking: Memphis Depay joining Manchester United. Rest of PSV squad just been told and congratulated player (via @thijsslegers) #mufc #lfc
at these times im kinda bummed that psv isnt tougher in negotiations but thats the culture of the club. when youre ready for the next step theyll help you get to the situation you want. Thats how the club gets good young players to come. Still a bummer we couldnt get even bigger money
25m euro base fee, going up to about 32 depending on performance. Also a percentage of a future transfer
All these Gareth Bale to United rumors are giving me a serious hard-on. Not holding my breath on it though.
I'm sure they would if they could get another big signing in attack. Sell Isco and Bale and bring in Pogba, De Gea, and an expensive attacker would be a very Real-like summer. Sterling's market goes way up if Reus isn't available. Wouldn't be surprised if Gotze is sold either, Pep doesn't like him very much right now.
Saw this from the Mirror Manchester United 'eye £45million Harry Kane as top summer striker target' Ace Boogie
Mail and the evening standard have multiple articles on it as well. A full blown British press assault
Congrats City, you've gotten yourself a 7 goal attacker for a mere 45 million pounds Ben SmithVerified account@BenSmithBBC Raheem Sterling is to tell #LFC manager Brendan Rodgers that he wants to leave Anfield this summer. More @BBCSport
He isn't terrible when he isn't the main attacking threat like he was all of this season so I think he could do well there but at that price, it would be moronic for City to go through with that.
In lesser news, St. Etienne winger Max Gradel says he will return to England this summer. Would be a good signing for the mid-table clubs. Also, Andre Ayew is a free-agent this summer and apparently wants to come to the EPL.
City need home grown and pussy ass Platini admitted today that he's given up on FFP so City makes the most sense. Bayern may like him but they aren't paying a Brit premium and Sterling isn't good enough for Real or Barca.
Bayern isn't going to sell Gotze, it's still a German club and the people who run it know Pep isn't in it for the long haul. Pep, at max, has one year left. Gotze is a WC hero at 22 putting in 15 goals a year from the midfield.
Gourcuff, Lacazette, Bedoya, Gignac, Thauvin, Fekir, Veretout have all been linked with leaving Ligue 1. le sigh...
I think Lacazette and Fekir stay for the Champions League. Apparently Rennes and Bordeaux are the frontrunners for Gourcuff. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gignac leave but Thauvin should stay, especially considering he basically forced his way to Marseille not too long ago. I have nothing to say about the Nantes guys lol. Hopefully Ntep stays at Rennes or moves to a better L1 team too.
Thauvin has been awful for Marseille recently so good riddens. He is talented but too big of a head case at the moment. Reminds me of Ben Arfa to a lesser extent.
We've been linked with Ayew for months, I wouldn't mind taking a punt on him. We need more wide options and the price is right. We've reportedly held preliminary talks but that could be complete bullshit.
Hope to god that doesn't happen. He is one of my favorite players and would hate for him to go to Spurs. He would be a good get for you though.
'It’s the club (who are to blame). Certainly, I would not recommend to anyone (to join Spurs),' Gomes told ESPN. HAHA
Yeah, lets all listen to a guy who rode the bench for the majority of his stay. Surely he won't be salty at all.
