It's pretty cartoony but really fun and replayable. I found PGA too easy and boring. Powerstar may not be the most complex game but it's very difficult. I'm up to a level 90 now. It's also nice because you can always play against other people's scores and rounds regardless if they're your friends or not, they have a sort of matchmaking. Well worth the $20.
I'll be on, let me know when you add me. Going to try and play a game with these clowns I'm on now until you get on.
Good call man. I picked it up (free version), played for 10 minutes, then dropped the $20 on the full game. I'm having fun so far. More difficult that RM PGA tour too. I take it I'll need to play a while to be competitive?
Ya, need to get a lot of equipment too. Quickest way to acquire good stuff is rivals mode. Play that against scores you know you can crush (May take a couple +10 or higher rounds to get comfortable). City/Rocky Ridge are miles easier than other courses. Try to use Frank's power on Par 5's. Spin is your friend. On almost every shot I use some type of spin, especially at the pin use backspin. Play against of few of my rounds with full replay on to get an exact view of what shots you'll need to make.
Downloading the beta now...how long does it last? Also, does anyone here play world of tanks? Really enjoying it so far
Does the game even work if you don't have a group of 4? I've seen a lot of people complaining that the matchmaking is pretty much unusable. I had a solid group of people who played Payday 2 on 360 and we had a lot of fun but eventually got kinda bored and just stopped playing. But from what I understand there were a ton of issues that were never fixed despite the developer mostly telling people they were working on fixes. This tweet is from one of their level designers and shows their lack of caring for console players... I was actually considering getting it for X1 because my friends and I enjoyed it on 360 but after seeing that tweet and reading more about how they never fixed the issues on the 360 version of the game I wasn't going anywhere near it and from what I've seen on other forums that was a wise decision.
Hi yes just a friendly reminder that we have a Madden 16 league that is starting up in 3 weeks when the game releases. Very active (advance every ~3 days), mostly user controlled teams, regulated for fairness (had no rules for M15 and we're making real rules this year), and a groupme chat full of trash talk, random life discussions, and titty pictures Sign up is ITT just let me know what team you'd like - which doesn't really matter that much because we're doing a fantasy draft to start everyone on an even playing field http://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/madden-2016-hardknocks-leage-11-spots-left.158762/
Well I'm not about to play a co-op, communication based game with strangers via matchmaking anyway. If we have less than 4 we just use the AI guys and it's fine The Xbox One version has all the updates and DLC the PC version has up to like a certain date. They're supposedly planning to get it caught up and then keep it as updated as the PC version, but as you alluded to, their track record makes that far from a certainty
I posted in the Gears thread but will post here too. If anyone is interested in investing a lot of time in Gears lmk. My buddies and I have/had a very good clan. I will have no life after the 25th and am ecstatic about it.
My brother and I play a ton of Gears. I'm good, but he consistently outperforms me. I'm sure we will both contribute a ton of time to it. I'm sure he'd be down to join. They had some sort of networking issue. No idea how you can't get the party system down in this day, but holy shit was it annoying.
Just went to the dark side and sold Titanfall, Madden, and Battlefield for like $40. Picked up EA access. Guess I'm gonna check out NFS Rivals because why not
