that 1995-1997 run with NBC holding the top 5-6 spot is incredible. You could put anything between Friends and Seinfeld and it would be a hit. On the flip side it created unreal expectations and saw the excellent The Single Guy cancelled despite pretty good ratings
also interesting to see one network start to dominate with a unique show genre, then the others play copy cat ( bonanza & gun smoke, Dallas and dynasty, family based sitcoms, reality show explosion).
CBS has always just dominated the industry. Other than NBC's golden era of the late-80s, and the disasterous mid-90s, CBS usually had over half the shows in the top ten or so.
I always wondered if they had an advantage by being the channel that was on when you turned your TV on... (FYI, when I was a kid, the tv automatically turned on to channel 2.)
Seems like they have the best sports too with masters, ncaat, nfl etc. They must be made out of money
Gray vs Grey I can understand. I sometimes forget which is the American and which is the English version. I don't know how else Cook could possibly be spelled.
You know, I had never thought of that. I just saw this map and kinda shrugged it off as a dumb internet map. But you've gotta be right. I lived here my entire life and didn't know how to even pronounce their names until I dated a girl from Wichita.... this was well before they were advertising everywhere and were national political bogeyman to the extent that they became.
This is nonsensical but when referring to a color, I use gray. When using it in a saying, "there's a grey area" I use grey.
Lol CFA lost in Georgia. This is not real. That Minnesota/Iowa/Missouri/Arkansas/Louisiana stack is GOAT
I have had it. It's good for a $9 personal pizza. You can also add unlimited toppings for free. Ok ingredients. I like old fashioned NY pizza by the slice though.
