Dons took a 4-3 lead in T8 and now have runners at 1st/3rd with no outs in T9 lfg Bruins with 3 errors in the game
I think TTU is pretty good, just played two of the most talented teams in the country and came up short. I think we are pretty pretty good.
Really encouraging to see Bolden looking like a stud again after having surgery two seasons ago and being a mid week stud starter for us as a freshman in 2018. Had a solid start to last year before season was cut short. 4 relief innings, 0 runs, 0 hits, 7k and 1 BB. Excited to see what Lockhart can do tomorrow. Still haven’t seen Noland, Wicklander, Wiggins, Blake Adams, Nick Griffin, Nate Wohlgemuth and several other key arms. Ramage and Kopps need to be mid week relief guys and that’s it.
This FloBaseball stream is the woat though constantly getting names wrong, shitty camera work where you miss a ton of the action, some of the replay angles are horrendous if we even get to see one, graphics constantly behind/wrong, and the announcer is 100% drunk and slurring his speech all day long.
Yeah, they seem to have screwed the pooch on this chance to land a big viewing market. They could've made a splash with their broadcast, but instead it seems to be much more of a clusterfuck than a success. Especially for charging $30 per month. I
Our games this weekend were on SECN+, but they didn't have a dedicated production crew. They just played the radio audio along with a basic camera angle. Did this happen with other SEC teams? Gonna be like this all year/forever now? It adds a ton to the game if there's graphics on the screen and replays etc
Yeah, I think we will see a lot of that. Some places aren't allowing media member in to call games. Auburn had a radio crew and a TV crew, but I think we will see some games this year where they use the radio audio for the TV audio to reduce the number of people in the stadium.
Sucks to take that money out of locals' pockets who call the small-time games like that. They can't have made that much though; guy doing it here the past few years was about a C level broadcaster
I would love it if we used our radio guy instead of the turd announcers we normally get. Phil Elson is the best in the business.
Yep. He’s had some major league offers but hasn’t pulled the trigger yet. Hope we can hang onto him as long as possible and pay whatever it takes
I'm afraid we will see some similar things like that here. When baseball, basketball, and softball all happen at the same time, we've always struggled to put all three broadcasts up. Basketball takes precedence. Baseball and softball either get one camera or no stream at all.
That sounds a lot better than the flosports stream. I just listened to yesterday's game because the stream sucked so bad Saturday.
Mailman just brought me a Gamecocks baseball poster. Instead of listing the schedule, it has a QR code you can scan to get the latest #COVID
State Farm tourney MSU beats TTU 11-5 MSU finishes 2-1, TTU 0-3 SEC now leads 6-1 Tech your bullpen, woof
Dores leading a solid Wright St program 8-1 in B8 Rocker: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 8 SO/3 BB on 67 pitches Isaiah Thomas is such a special talent. Triple and a homer today
As a fan of a team picking in the top 3 again, what are the thoughts on Rocker v. Jaden Hill? Rocker definitely seems more polished and has the monster breaking ball, but is it crazy to think Hill has a higher upside? The lack of an elite breaking ball at this point is worrisome in the pros, but just seems like there's massive potential there and I'm kind of afraid of college kids who rely so much on the breaking ball like Rocker.
Hill had some arm issues in HS that killed his velocity for a while (his Jr year I think) and would give me some pause on his long term endurance. Obviously not an issue right now, but that’s what kept him from being a sure fire first round pick out of HS. Rocker is a freakshow. He’d be my guy if I had the option of the two 10x out of 10.
Pretty sure Hill has logged like 21 career innings coming into this season. So I definitely have no idea about him other than he's got good stuff and a great frame
Yeah, hard to pass on a guy like Rocker with the proven track record and the potential to still grow and get better. Hill has big upside, but Kumar would be the guy I want.
Tulane dropped their series with Louisiana Lafayette, won the first game 3-2 then lost 9-8 and 9-7 Travis Jewett would be an elite assistant hire this offseason if Tulane parts ways with him
As far as I can tell the last time Florida played a non-conference series outside the state of Florida was at Texas A&M in 2007. Holy shit that's lame. Like yeah I understand you have great weather. But what kind of student experience is that? Although something tells me folks like Austin Maddox wouldn't have been too excited about trips to Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, etc
We don’t normally travel for a non conference series. One off games against ACC teams or the Clemson series that is split home and home. We are traveling for a series with Texas this year though
We'll probably have another pandemic that wipes out the season next time we're paired up Dores up 1-0 in T7. Leiter went 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 8 SO/0 BB on 69 pitches with 45 strikes
Why isn’t he playing minor league baseball? I’m guessing he’s a junior? Is he related to the major league Leiters.
Cause his dad is a millionaire former MLB pitcher and like Rocker the parents insisted he go to college.
