Hot wing-based celebrity interview web series Hot Ones -- anecdotally the most popular show among millennial men, based on how many of my friends are obsessed with it -- is getting a TV spin-off. TruTV announced Friday that Hot Ones: The Game Show, hosted by Sean Evans, is coming in early 2020
welp, this will be their Icarus moment. I'm sure it's worth the coin but there is no way the core audience wants to see normal people eat wings and answer trivia questions.
Well considering it bombed at the box office and Elizabeth Banks is now blaming men for it bombing, you certainly were correct to wonder.
I like her a lot as an actress and even enjoyed her on Press Your Luck but seems like directing isn't her strong suit.
Sigh I like Chance but come on my dude that was pathetic. When peeps going to start crying 3 wings in to where they can’t properly answer questions it’s a waste of time
"I love spicy stuff, I ate it all the time as a kid" *grew up eating chicken with that same bottle of medium wing sauce* this is like 70% of the guests. 25% admit they don't eat or like spicy stuff and 5% have actual like Indian or Caribbean heritage where you believe they had an iron gut by the time they were 6.
The body guard from Trinidad of I believe taraji p henson was basically straight up unaffected by even straight drinking Last Dab
They also need to start putting more sauce on the wings and or forcing guests to take bigger bites. Even a colossally hot sauce won't really hurt if you only get a few drops of it. Too many celebs avoid really playing the game.
Also I have a bad feeling about a Hot Ones game show, especially with it being on cable TV. Hope Sean and Schonberger can make it great but I'm skeptical to say the least.
Its become big enough now that people go on it just for the eyeballs/promotion, instead of it being about "answering questions while eating really spicy wings", its just about "get on this popular internet show to promote my upcoming project"
Stumbled onto his travel eps of BA recently and they’re wonderful. Particularly liked him noodling in Oklahoma with Matty Matheson.
Matty and Brad are the travel show america needs more of its the millenial version of Bourdain and Ripert
Brad did pretty well on his own show with the sauces so this should be fun. That dude just cracks me up.
