I've got one sitting on my shelf right now that I would be willing to part with. Spent $99 on it (I know this is above regular msrp) and wouldn't be looking to make anything off it. Send me a pm if interested
Man, if I was still working from home i'd go to the store on delivery days for you and get you as many as you needed, but I haven't been able to do that in months.
What's everyone's thoughts on Old Ezra 7? Picked some up at TW yesterday at the suggestion of a friend.
It's solid, nothing incredible but a decent enough pour imo. In the middle of a move and somehow it's one of the only bottles I have out right now so been sipping on it this week.
I'm doing some work on my off day sipping some myself. It's def good and smooth, but as you said nothing incredble. It's what I'd expect at the pricepoint I got it.
OE7 was great value when it was low-mid $30s. $50-60 seems to be standard around here now, and that's pushing it for me.
Classmate from Ohio brought me two bottles of OWA just sitting on a shelf. Guess he is good for something
Going to Austin in a couple weeks, any good liquor store I should hit up? Coming from KC if that matters
Where in town are you staying? I'm happy to share all my honey holes () if you don't mind driving 20-30 min
So you're on the east side. The liquor store next to Nickel City (bourbon bar) has some good stuff from time to time and they have a lot of Nickel City's Barrel picks which are usually tasty. If you go further east you've got the Austin Shaker that will have some rarer stuff, just have to ask for it. Specs is going to have stuff and may be in the case but they've gotten to where they hold stuff in the back for regulars. You could drive thirty minutes to the beecave one which hooks me up and the brodie lane one but thats because they know me. Austin wine merchant on 6th and nueces used to be my go to for getting good stuff but I think the store is still closed for covid and is curbside only.
My highest yield is out in beecave but like I said that's a drive. Chris Liquor on South Lamar will have a bunch of allocated stuff but its at secondary prices. South Lamar Wine and Spirits is great and retail, they hold a lot of good stuff for the end of the year raffle but usually you can find some decent stuff (EH Taylor, ECBP)
The absoulute best coasters. Can get 'em on Amazon. Bit pricey but worth it. Great on granite and wood.
