stick this in your trucker jack==== don,t kid yourself youtube is absolutely the king of the future of music .
I have a top three that has been the same since the beginning of time and will never change. Anathema Blind Guardian Grave
I like their music. I just think it's kind of funny that mr swedish death metal himself loves them like you do
Guys, holy shit drop what you are doing and listen to this. Fans of Mgla will absolutely fall in love. Also, really, REALLY talented unorthodox drummer. SUPER good shit
the drummer is Darkside from Mgla, and he's awesome. https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Maciej_Kowalski/10225
That previously posted album is the shit. I listened to it then went back and listened to a bunch of Mgla all day. Thanks Heavy Mental for introducing them to me. That’s my type of stuff. If you guys know anything similar let me know.
25 is crazy. I’d support everyone listing their top 3 albums, assigning points based on that, and then putting the resultant top 3 in the OP as the 2018 AOTY. Could be cool.
I was always really into writing lyrics and take pride in it but I won’t lie. Sometimes I’d forget them during a set and just scream and growl pretending I was actually singing lyrics. Just do it in rhythm and you can get by in a pinch.
It basically means they are ashamed of white people's behavior as far as slavery and the native American genocide is concerned. Very NOT racist ***all band members are white and woke af
Here is a pretty good article on who they are https://www.revolvermag.com/music/h...aitor-skewer-racist-america-new-song-blk-xmas "Hurley adds, "With all that is going on in the world, we are trying to make a record that pulls no punches in the music or the message. We want to inspire punks, hardcore kids and metalheads, and maybe piss off a few racists along the way."
What is everyone's opinion of Portal? There are some cool moments, but I honestly don't know what to think Also, fucked if I know how they pull this shit off live...
I like tons of different kinds of metal, especially the melodic black metal, but it seems we both have an affinity for crusty, punk, hardcore, grind stuff. That’s the type of music I played in my bands since I was 17 years old. I need to start playing again. I wrote a pretty wicked thrash song recently after not picking up my guitar for a year. Then shit in my personal life turned my head upside down. I’ve completely forgot it but I know I’ve got riffs. I hear them in my head before I fall asleep. I moved my stack to my bedroom and have a keyboard and recorder. I’m gonna make some shit and punish everyone in this thread by posting it and having everybody listen to it.
I absolutely can't wait to hear it. My brother plays guitar (fairly well) but I'm WAY better at listening to music than playing it :)
Why is Mgla getting cool now? Their latest release appears to be 2015 I like them but I'm just wondering
I only just discovered them in 2016, maybe? They’ve been rising stars in black metal for much longer than that, however. They’ve only made one US touring appearance at Maryland Deathfest and don’t have a lot of promotion here. More prominent in Europe (they’re Polish).
No time table b/c I have a million things going on but eventually I’ll do it. I suck with electronics in general. I can barely navigate a computer. My ex bass player is really savvy with recordings. He got bored and made a track of one of our old thrash songs into some weird industrial track. It was weird but cool. He’s back from school in Turkey. We don’t have a band but he definitely wants to jam and hangs out every weekend. He sat on a hill with his friends and watched the coup in person. I’m glad he’s not dead. He hung out with certain groups that were clearly anti government and that doesn’t fly over there.
Yeah thanks for the recommendation. Pretty badass. I quoted my own post accidentally. Still thanks for the heads up Mental.
The song was originally written in 1981 when the band was called The Mob. Band changed their name to Queensreich and later changed it again to Queensryche by the time 1983 rolled around and they released their self titled debut EP. It's also the only release to feature their original logo.
Apparently some kid died yesterday in a metalcore moshpit. If you millennials are still looking for things to kill moshing would be nice.
I can't seem to get enough of this album, it came out earlier this year. Nothing groundbreaking but it beats the pornopunkgrindcrustcore that fills Roys iPod.
Buddy, if you've never seen live videos before... You're in for a treat. So that's what Scream Bloody Gore would sound like if it was recorded on a laptop with pro tools. "Alexa, play me uninspired death metal that sounds 30 years old."
Hey I don't have an Ipod anymore old man. That shit is dated. I do have an Ipad. I dig the song though. It didn't blow my socks off or anything but it wasn't bad.
Wow! That was certainly some crazy shit! I wouldn't want to play "mercy" with either one of those guitar playing mother fuckers and that's a fact. Damn!
