She should have been nominated for a Golden Globe over Bell. Bell is beautiful and a fine actress in her own right but she couldn't do what the Janet actress did last night.
Currently on a rewatch with the wife. We can all agree that Janet is the best character in this show, right?
So now we're back where we started with much higher stakes. They burn through plot so quick I wonder if we even are still here at the end of the season. Be nice to slow down a bit here.
I always thought letting us know they were in the bad place so quickly was a mistake. I’ve been proven wrong thus far so I hope they know what they’re doing.
They brought the emotion back hard this week. Didn't realize it was the finale. That sucks, need like another ep or two to get the thing setup for next year. Wonder who they will cast for the other 2 roles.
About halfway through season 2, and I like this show -- it can be pretty clever. The only gripe I have about it is Jason. He's the only reason I'd not watch the rest of the show. He's just unbearable and unrealistically dumb, and not in a funny way like Kramer or Joey. He also has a much bigger role than someone like Kevin from The Office. Other than Jason, who I'm hoping they minimize as he might be ok in small doses, the show is great.
After reading the circle jerk that is this thread, I expected the responses. The show is good, but that one part of it is pretty terrible. Nothing is perfect -- including this show.
*Enters thread and gives bad opinion that everyone disagrees with* “Yeah well this thread is a circle jerk and I knew you’d react that way” Cool. I’ll really miss this great discussion if you stop watching because you think he’s that bad
Please tell me you aren't talking about Joey from Friends, one of the least funny shows to ever exist?
Show is coming to an end after this upcoming 4th season, Schur's decision https://deadline.com/2019/06/the-good-place-end-season-4-final-season-nbc-1202629402/
That’s a bummer but it’s nice when shows don’t get dragged out just for money or sentimentality. Wrap it up well and it’s rewatch value is gonna be real high!
I’m fine with this. They’ve already set ultimate resolution in motion. No need to drag things out and keep inventing obstacles.
completely agree. I think Schur learned from the disaster that was The Office w/o Steve Carrell. Put a bow on it and go work on the next project, don't last long enough to get destroyed
finally finished the last 2 episodes late, kept starting/stopping them with a new baby this spring. 2 jokes DESTROYED me, had to pause and rewind after i stopped laughing: "Like, there's this chicken sandwich that if you eat it, it means you hate gay people. And it's delicious." "It is. It is so good" "‘And then Turtle makes a bet with Ronda Rousey, and if she loses, she has to…’Oh, come on. I was just in the middle of torturing William Shakespeare by describing the plot to the "Entourage" movie."
