Funny enough this happened to me and this thread was how I solved it as well. Had looked everywhere online
that's a known issue, but I don't think it actually hurts anything are you missing texts? or getting them delayed?
updated my macbook pro the other day. now whenever I close and open the laptop it asks for a password, even if it's just been closed for a few seconds and its irritating as shit. it didn't do this before the update and I can't figure out to change it. anyone have any idea how to fix it?
if that won't let you change it, then you have another setting or profile installed that is causing it to do that do you use iCloud keychain? does your computer have touch id? do you use apple pay? those things will force a password since once you are beyond that screen you have access to all of those things
go to sys prefs>users & groups and change password for that user if it asks to "use separate password" select that option
Had a 42mm and went to the 44mm. This screen seems way bigger. I don’t wanna say almost too big, but I feel it is.
I got a new iPad 6th Gen for Christmas. Is there any earthly reason to drop $400 to upgrade to the pro if I literally just plan to use it to surf the internet 90% of the time? Feels like no, I just like the bigger screen/no home button on the new Pro.
Bigger screen and Face ID. Probably faster too. Personal justification vs where else you could spend $400
Just bought a Sonos and am having trouble getting the apple-sonos connection going. Am I right in thinking that I should be able talk to it both as Alexa and as Siri depending on what I want to do?
No, the sonos doesn’t support direct Siri connection. You can talk to Siri on your phone and ask her to play something on that speaker and it will play from your phone but through the speaker using AirPlay.
Gotcha. I read this article and thought maybe I could. https://m.imore.com/how-use-siri-and-alexa-your-sonos-speaker#siri Do I want to set it up through the Apple home app or will Alexa be all I need for that? Or is that something that can be done? Technology these days is making me feel like my parents trying to set up the VCR
It’s a lot better than you expect but not perfect. It works with me wearing hats or sunglasses. It fails around 5% of the time. It almost works too good sometimes. I pick up my phone and it’s unlocked the moment I look at it.
Ended up getting the XR because I’ll take the battery life over improved display/camera Face ID has been very good so far. Having to rotate my head like I was doing exercises while in the store was goofy though. Spoiler also no longer need to worry about wiping fingers while snacking and using phone
