2 things form the last 2 days: 1. When Howard was berating JD, talking about how it's not Howard's show, it's all of theirs, Robin interjected and said - people always used to say to me - aren't you upset that you don't get any credit and everyone gives credit and praise to Howard?? and I responded bla bla bla. ummmm what the fuck would she get credit for???? No one ever said that to her, ever. 1b. oh, and part B of this, Howard 1000% thinks it's his show. he does not for a second think it's "their" show. It's his and his alone. Unless he's pissed about something like this, then it's "our" show. 2. Yesterday they opened with Benjy's dick pics. I like that Howard's basic argument to Benjy was that he needs to be more conservative because while it's not going to hurt him currently, who knows what job he might need in the future, and how something like this will impact his ability to be employed. fucking seriously? This, from Howard Stern???? He built a career on crossing the line. Not only did Howard continually risk his future employment by doing crazy, sexualized things, he literally got fired from jobs because he crossed those kinds of lines. and now his advice to Benjy is to tone it down??? Rings a little hollow coming from him.
ha! It's still the best thing to listen to in the car, but there are things that I listen for now and if I hear them.....ok, yea it triggers me. There is something else that Howard does, or that he used to do more. He will be telling a story, then someone from the studio or on the phone will interject something, and he will add it to the story as if that really happened. Howard: So Ralph and Ron were sleeping in the same bed, and Ralph is just wearing a robe and nothing else, and Ron is just wearing little briefs. And in the middle of the night I hear these noises and I look over and I think I see something. Ralph: oh bullshit! Howard: no, I see like moving, and I hear something Jackie: was it Ralph asking Ron to rub his ass? ha ha Howard: Yea yea, and then I hear Ralph whisper to Ron - rub my ass That's not a great example, but when I hear it it drives me crazy. It' slike he's making up the story as he goes. Which who knows, he might be.
Trollllllllsss My favorite was when they called him and the whole family mocked his voice. I lose it everytime they would put the dog on the phone howling "troolllllllllll"
Sternthology this weekend had a Richard Simmons appearance. He is the greatest guest of all time, and it's not even close.
Back in the day (Jackie era/Best era) he'd be on twice a week sometimes and Howard was just merciless. Howard would go off, rapid fire with fatso insults for like 20 minutes straight at somebody on the phone and at the end of it all the payoff was always Richard's "Oh Howard HOW COULD YOU?!?!"
So what's everyone's guess on where Richard is? Clearly just got fat and is too embarrassed to be seen, right?

Saw a theory that the "fuckin troollllssss" old guy call-in show is fake and its just one of the staffers. I would be pissed if I found out they have resorted to faking content. Plus that bit has already run its course.
