I’m missing the double meaning behind this, obvious a call back to the title of episode 8.1 “Winterfell” but what else?
Sanderson would be absolutely horrible for this series. Sure he is a great writer but this is so much darker than anything he has ever wrote. Just not a good fit We will get the last 2 books eventually after he dies regardless of his wishes. You better believe someone is going to cash that check
I'm pretty sure last I checked, Harrenhal got passed around 5000 more times and currently belongs to Jar Jar Binks.
Speaking of Yohn, would be sweet for him to fuck up some white walkers... avenging the death of his son (from the opening scene of the whole series)
Anyone noticed that Yohn Royce is always talking to Sansa, I wonder if Sansa is playing the game LF style and ensuring the Knights of the Vale support her claim when the war is over.
I've thought about this. Dunno if theres enough episodes for it but right now Sansa has support of the North, the Vale, and the Riverlands, such as they are. Of course Dany has two dragons so it's probably moot but it's still something to think about. Speaking of...who is in control of Storm's End? Highgarden? Dorne?
just saw a hot new theory from reddit on yahoo.com: Theon kills Bran so he can be resurrected as a White Walker by the Night King for some reason. a combo 3ER + WW uses all his badass powers to kill the Night King. It's so obvious once you read it!!!1!
This is from the same homeboard thread that gave us the "Gendry is really the true king and will end the series on the Iron Throne" so I would say that the quality of crazy hypothesizing has improved
"You do realize that this is 'A Song of Ice and Fire', not 'A Song of Drunken Deer and Incestuous Lions', right?" "You can't just discount that Robert won the war against the Targs and the Baratheons are the royal house now."
Not sure if already posted, but this is really well done. Gave me chills and reminded me about how good this show has been.
I know you’re joking, but who does have the better Baratheon claim, Cersei the widow queen or Gentry the bastard son of Robert? Neither would be as good Aegon’s or Dany’s obviously, but I’m unsure how that would work straight up without the politics and money wielded by the Lannisters which obviously give Cersei the upper hand there.
Ok, ok, this is crazy but, What if Melisandre comes in and goes to Jon and says hey, bring me the whichever sword and stap me in my chest and BOOM! it changes into the lightbringer. Jon is the Azor Ahai reborn and kills NK. Next four episodes is full of great dialogue, posturing and Cersi dies.
That was my thought. Though it will all be for moot when Jamie ends up Azor Ahai, the Kingslayer, the Night Kingslayer, and the Prince that was Promised.
There are heraldic claims to the throne and de facto ones If Gentry has troops and the backing of strong houses, he’s got a claim.
