Ha no I won it in a charity tournament. Really liked a lot about it, but I wanted one more pocket pointing out. Needs one more d ring also I felt like. Those things are by design for them though as it is a very minimalist bag. Ended up getting 360 for it the day after I listed it so ended up happy
Nelly Korda and Brooke Henderson tied for the lead with Lexi 2 back, nice Sunday back nine here. Nelly’s swing is so pure. Pace of play is atrocious though, final group is on 11 and has been out there 3 hours
Haven’t heard. They did go off a lot earlier than a normal final round would, I’m guessing that has to do with the heat. That’s why you see some caddies in carts
I love the game too but watching LPGA action on the first sunday of NFL games? Different strokes, I guess.
TV + iPad . But yes I also don’t care to watch the Browns game or Football Team games that were on here. Saints and Bucs is better
3 person playoff about to start, 2 of them should have been in the water long on 18 but instead rammed it off the backboard and got free relief
Mirim Lee wins...her caddie told Shipnuck before the playoff that they intentionally took too much club playing for the backstop in regulation. Sucks for Nelly because that’s weak shit
Ended up finishing second in our flight at the 2-man this weekend. Hit the ball really good all weekend but just couldn’t make anything. Won $200 for placing second and won a dozen pro vs and some knock off air pods for the longest drive. Never been rewarded this much for playing such mediocre golf
What's everyone using for irons these days?Looking for recommendations for an upgrade. Im currently playing Cleveland TA5s that are 18 yrs old. I hit them pretty decently but technology has come a long way since then. Im a 16 handicap fwiw. TIA.
I'm a 16ish and bought Sim Max irons a few months ago. Playing best golf of my life since. Bunch of other in here have them.
Team Sim Max. My swing has gone to shit the last couple weeks, but when I'm swinging it well, they're fantastic irons.
I play 10 year old titleist ap2s I bought on ebay five years ago. Don't think that's a popular option. Would love a ping fitting
Cobra Speed Zone irons with KBs V tour(110) steel shafts. If you order director from cobra it’ll take a little longer but you can get 10% off your first purchase. Went into my fitting hoping for ping and then came out cobra.
Mizuno for me. They make great irons. JPX Hot Metal is perfect for a mid-handicapper. Look good but forgiving as well.
#5 plays as a par 5 for member play, so considering it a birdie during US Open week when it’s playing as a 4 is a bit disingenuous Jigga
Mizuno is great. Think you may have gotten some bad info though; for a higher handicap, the new 921 hot metal pros are a great set for $1k
Probably about a 12 playing 10+ year old Mizuno MX-25s. I still hit em pretty good so no need to change.
Im a 10 index and my irons are lofted differently, meaning higher lofts. Guys I play with are hitting a good club higher than me yet I'm even or further off the tee. I won't buy another set without getting fitted though. I joined a private club a year ago and have gotten serious about golf for the first time in my life. Not going to drop a big sum on a new set without a fitting. Finally feel like I'm hitting it well enough to justify it. Just waiting until Christmas.
Think I misunderstood your post. I and everyone else will agree that getting fit for irons is the way to go. I thought you were saying Mizunos were PXG level expensive compared to everything else. If you go do a fitting at a private shop they should waive the fee if you buy through them, but the head pro at your club should also be capable of doing the same
No, I was told that mizuno is really popular with top ams and collegiate players. Pros can play whatever they want and the companies will do whatever they want obviously. Hell tiger was playing a bridgestone ball with a swoosh on it because money. I love my ping driver and played a ping g400 set on demo a couple years ago and absolutely loved them. Thats why I say I would love to be fitted for a set of them.
Said it before but none of the major manufacturers make a bad club head. Getting fitted for the right shaft is the most important aspect. It’s all personal feel though from there with what manufacturer you go with
Haven’t played since Thursday, messed up something in my back and waiting on it to die down some. First time I haven’t played on a weekend since February
Haven’t played our home course in two weeks. Got here this morning to find that in that time they punched and sanded the greens and we basically missed the two worst weeks of the year here.
More wishful thinking than anything else. Morikawa is probably a safer pick. I have a weird feeling about Finau this week. He has a sneaky solid short game, which is going to be needed.
Rahm DJ Morikawa JT Berger very original, I know. ------------------ People I'd like to see win since Kopeka is out: Tiger Rahm Homa Dahmen Fowler Anybody not named Bryson or Patrick
I feel like he thrives in easier conditions/courses such as Quail Hollow or Erin Hills. I’d love to see it happen, though.
