I agree that more often than not the matches with The Experts are better but you can't do a real tournament if one team is in every game. I think the tournament will be pretty entertaining
I haven’t listened to any of them yet, so someone else can give a more comprehensive answer but the gist is they do a deep dive into a conspiracy theory (or conspiracy theory adjacent?) topic. Looks like today’s was on the Denver airport.
Yea conspiracy talk with Arian Foster, PFT, Big T and sometimes Coley. They don't really do enough research but they go off on tangents and have good discussions. It's entertaining. I really hope Arian sticks around because he's starting to really build rapport and get in on the jokes with PFT/Billy. Think he would be an awesome addition to the pirate ship. Topics so far have been Alex Jones, Flat earth, MK Ultra, and Denver airport.
I've really, really enjoyed it. I don't really regularly listen to PMT anymore, and it's filled that gap.
Arian and PFT are pretty skeptical guys, so it's more discussion about a conspiracy theory/theorist than it is promotion of that theory/theorist. It's pretty lighthearted and entertaining.
arian has really gotten comfortable over the last few episodes. maybe he just didn’t know much about alex jones because PFT carried that one.
Yea that’s the only one I listened to but there definitely wasn’t much chemistry which is what’d you’d expect from episode 1. Glad to hear they’ve gotten better
One of my favorite all time Dozens with Gottlieb vs. Rico. His face when Gottlieb showed up is fantastic.
Thinks he knows basketball because he is a Duke fan, however if you really watched basketball.. you would’ve seen Duke wasn’t that good this year. He also knows nothing about gambling
That was great. Rico was shook. Mush knows nothing. Big Cat's best skill is making someone who is pretty much reviled on the internet like Gottlieb come off a likeable. The Dozen is really the only Barstool content I have consumed regularly as of late. Seems like Dave has taken his first step towards retirement by moving to Miami. I am sure he will fly out to open up the sportsbooks as they roll out around the country as Penn requires and get in the mud once in a while, but he seems over the day to day stuff
yep. sucks but i get it. he's literally worth 9 figures. i wouldn't want to have to do the rundown with kfc either.
Starting to get into the dozen. Loved Gottlieb shitting on Rico and Marty knowing absolutely nothing.
So many good episodes. One of the greatest episodes is kayce, feits and cons vs the experts. Also I think team Chicago is one of the most exiting teams to watch
Any other Dozen episode recommendations beyond what was mentioned above? Just watched the Gottlieb/Rico episode, and am watching episode 44 with Nick, KB, Frank, PFT, and Brandon Walker at the moment.
I know people don't like him, but Minihane is a monster on The Dozen. I think he's scored every point for his team. Carrabis is as useless as Mush. Watch the videos of KB playing Geo Guesser. He's unreal.
Don't watch the dozen, but have listened to the Bench Mobsters podcast. Rico and Mush know literally nothing. At least rico is likeable. They had Huggs on early, and this was the conversation Marty: you had 2 knee replacements? Huggs: yea Marty: WOAH that's crazy. That's crazy Just garbage. Especially bc Huggs is a great interview. He has some amazing stories he tells, but man, it was an awful interview
