I drink a whole lot of water (like 15-20oz per hour on average) pretty much from the time I wake up until an hour before I go to bed. I usually weigh in at the start of the day before that begins so I know that's playing a part but it still seems like a big swing.
Nooooooot quite. Just don't drink hardly anything that isn't water (outside of some alcohol on the weekends) and I like being well hydrated. I've found being under hydrated is the primary cause of me feeling shitty almost anytime I don't feel great.
It's amazing how a big glass of water makes headaches and mild feelings of shittiness go away. Coffee is the first and often times the only thing I consume in the morning. Gotta do better.
Fuck gents. I forgot how bad keto fucks with your system as your body adjusts. Dehydrated as Fuck and I’ve just been pounding water. Had 3 glasses of Woodford last night and felt like I’d chugged the entire bottle. Chugged like a half gallon of water before bed because i was scared of this morning. Didn’t help. Pissed it all out my ass around 6 AM while my head was pounding. Proceeded to puke up bile 4 times over the next couple hours. Water and salt all morning. Start my workout and sweat just starts pouring out like a faucet. Just now starting to feel hydrated and normal for the day. Nothing but up from here though. Should be feeling great by next weekend.
Yep heaviest I’ve ever been. Spoiler Edit: sorry I put the wrong starting weight pic. I’ve updated the pic with my WW app.
I feel like there’s a big overlap between the biggest loser and good beer threads. It’s almost like there is some kind of connection between drinking beer and getting fat.
If it makes you feel better I haven’t drank drank in years, maybe a mixed drink here or there but nothing too serious and I just keep getting fatter.
I’m doing my best to avoid that thread right now during Dry January. I haven't been that successful. Still haven’t drank though.
Figured out how to supercharge my protein intake. Pressure cooked a buttload of chicken breast with taco seasoning. 8oz cooked chicken breast, 3 eggs, and half a cup of low-fat cottage cheese for breakfast with a iced coffee/cafe latte premier protein/almond milk drink 850 calories, 134g of protein My wife tries to make small meals around 300-350 calories with at least 30g of protein because she eats 4-5 smaller meals a day so with that and adding in an afternoon protein shake I should be able to hit my 2k calorie goal and clear 220g of protein pretty easily.
310.2 this morning, LFG Pretty impressed with that considering I ate about 4000 calories on Saturday during our meet
Last week (M-S) was opening week to get your starting weight. Week 1 starts today. So today through Sunday is Week 1.
Obviously, after opening week you just have to post your weight each week, doesn't have to be a picture of the scale.
Opening - 261.9 Week 1 - 260.6 I’m probably not going to try until mid-February. These next few weeks will just be water weight fluctuation.
Initial - 270.6 Week 1 - 262.4 Not sure how I lost that much honestly. Been on vacation the whole week visiting my sister in Texas. I walked a ton more for the week than I do when working but didn't eat particularly well.
Initial: 353.4 Week 1: 354.6 I consumed a lot of things I probably should not have this weekend, so I guess I’ll take only being +1 today.
First week of a diet always shows me what a horrific eater I am. Just cutting out a bunch of snacks and hammering coke all day and I lose significant weigh.
Joining now is okay, right? 213.8 right now. Heaviest I’ve ever been and not happy about it. I tried this last year and stopped a few weeks in so hoping for better results on my end. Scale photo in spoiler. Spoiler
Initial 247.4 Week 1 239.0 Tweaked my lower back playing catch with my 9 year old at the beginning of last week so haven’t started lifting or jogging yet. Cut out the fast food and am going to try intermittent fasting this week. Pretty motivated after looking like a wuss in front of the boy and walking like an old man! Let’s get after it boys!
is anyone using/has anyone used meal delivery subscriptions? curious how that's gone for folks who are trying to eat healthier and/or get in better shape
I've done Blue Apron and Green Chef in the past and currently doing Home Chef. There's definitely options for lower calories or no carbs on all of them so you can definitely go that route. I started using them because my wife and I were just rotating the same meals every few weeks and wanted more variety. I really like Home Chef because you can choose stuff that's quicker to prepare since I found spending 45 minutes three or four nights a week cooking was a drain. It's probably an option with the others, but a friend recommended Home Chef for those types of quick meals and we've enjoyed them. They help with portion control. When I buy and prepare my own food, I always make and eat too much so these are great for watching portions and calories. Also you can rotate among them every few months to keep getting deals. I don't think any of them are worth full price, but they always offer discounts if you are new or cancel and come back. With the discounts meals are less than $10 per person/serving.
