Read the sentence before. Whenever I switch to Zyn I end up switching back. My thought process here would be to switch to Zyn and then once I think it’s gross again I’ll just quit altogether It’s never worked before but maybe this time it will
Lol, Nicotine is crazy powerful when you first use it. Probably more than half throw up the first time they try dip. I chewed for 20 years like all day every day, and thought I had the tolerance of an elephant. But then I switched to Zyn and almost threw up the first time I did it. I threw in two of the 6mg the first time, which granted is probably a lot, but I wasn’t expecting it to put me on my ass given that I was basically mainlining nicotine all day already. I still usually do two 6mg pouches at a time, and to this day there are still times where I’ll get the sudden feeling that I need to take them out immediately or it’s gonna be bad. And I’ve also overdone it, not took them out in time, and puked.
In terms of health (if that’s your goal), from least bad for you to worst it probably goes: 1.) Zyn and other non-tobacco Nicotine pouches. These really aren’t much different than Nicotine gum, which I’ve never heard to really be dangerous beyond the fact that Nicotine isn’t great in the first place. I do worry that they could be putting all types of shit in these that we don’t know about because our laws aren’t that strict on that stuff yet. 2.) Vape. Using your lungs as a delivery method is not great, but again I think the real danger is that they could be putting all types of shit in these things. Theoretically, if the cartridges don’t contain anything other than Nicotine, then vaping is still way better than any actual tobacco use. 3.) Snus (and maybe regular pouches too). Better than smoking cigs, but this is still tobacco, so you aren’t really doing anything safer by switching to Snus. It started in Sweden and Norway, where they have strict rules about what can go into Snus, but I don’t think we have those same rules in the US, and again who knows what they are putting in these beyond already harmful tobacco. Probably better for your dental health than actual dip though. 4.) Actual dip. I don’t know if there is any difference in safety between long cut, snuff, and leaf tobacco (e.g. Redman), but it’s all bad either way. The only reason it’s better than smoking at all is because you aren’t putting shit in your lungs. 5.) Cigs and Cigars. Nothing everyone doesn’t already know here.
If you have ATT Uverse, Red Zone and the NFL Network are coming back. Aug 1st for NFL Network and Sept 10th for Redzone.
Vaping needs to go to number 4 and snus needs to go to number 1. They have done all sorts of studies in Scandinavia that shows snus users don’t have a higher incidence of cancer than non users. The two major causes of oral cancer in the US are smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
Again, as I mentioned, the Snus in Scandinavia is not the Snus we have here in America. Also, Snus is literally ground up tobacco. If you think ground up tobacco is somehow more safe than Nicotine by itself without the tobacco, I have a bridge for sale.
Yep, I couldn't believe a coach would say that about another coach. I've never seen a coach talk that way about their predecessor before
I don’t think tobacco leaves are inherently bad, but all the additives and fiberglass that are in American chew are. zyn is nicotine salts, basically crack form of nicotine. It has given people I know heart palpitations because they over use it/thought it was weak because the pouches are small. I’d guess Scandinavian Snus is better than crack version of nicotine (zyn). There is a company out of Sweden called General Snus that is distributed all across the country as far as I can tell. But it’s not as omnipresent as Zyn, or camel anus. I still prefer the large camel Snus, but if I had easier access to General I would probably roll with that.
we are discovering just tonight what i think of when someone says "nerd" and it's still a skinny kid wearing glasses unconscious bias in action
Our LG situation last year was as bad as I've ever seen in my life of watching football. They are all returning and got a collective 10. I can't even fathom how bad you guys looked to get a 1
Let’s see… Starting left tackle has 9 career starts and Philly let him walk. PFF grade of 69 last year. Starting left guard is a rookie who played tackle in college. Honestly wouldn’t be shocked if he winds up our best one even though that’s not saying much. Starting center had first full year starting last year and wound up with a PFF grade of 59. This is his first season starting at center. Starting right guard appears to be Jordan Roos who I think has never started and had a PFF grade last year of 52. Staring right tackle is a former 3rd pick who is suspended for the first 6 games. Started all of last year and ended with a PFF grade of 52. So yea, not great bob.
