Trying to get a reservation currently for the week of Christmas but only 9pms are popping up. Yall know the way to get reservations right? Use Open Table and pick the day and click on the bell for alerts. When any reservations are cancelled during the selected time frame you get an immediate notification from Berns and you can immediately take it if you want. I've gotten in no issues with that method always every time I've wanted to during the last year. Normally, starts popping up a few days out because people cancel last minute. Also, the chateaubriand is the only steak I've gotten from Berns for the past decade.
Record non tropical high tide today and almost 4 inches of rain today in Charleston. Georgetown got 12 inches of rain and is completely flooded.
We were coming back from Pawleys today and had to turn around at Georgetown back through Myrtle to 95 and then 26. Even then some sketchy parts.
Glad I'm moving to upstate western side of the state where all of this is whatever generally it seems.
I lost power for about an hour or so. Wind was pretty crazy for sure. Luckily no damage near me but there was confirmed tornado that definitely hurt some homes.
Glad everyone here is ok. My sister-in-law lives in North Myrtle Beach, tornado hit in their neighborhood, parts of people's decks and shit ended up in their backyard. No injuries but that is some scary shit
I think the other one is more appropriate for today https://www.the-mainboard.com/index...way-barge-thread.46648/page-409#post-19644437
slightly weaker, but almost identical looking system moving through this weekend too. One of these days a storm is going to come through and remind me I need to invest in battery backup to my sump
yea, lot of bad damage in the area. Getting calls non-stop from former clients who replaced their roof in the last 2-3 years who need to start all over again.
probably depends where you are staying. I was told the west end of the beach is fine. Thomas drive area is really bad.
Probably looking at the season becoming May 1 to Early December in the not too distant future, with a bigger activity peak starting earlier in August.
My brother is selling his house in Florida (Air Force moved him to California like 8 months after he bought it) because the hurricane and flood insurance costs more than he can get from renters at this point.
My homeowners went up 75% for 2023 after Hurricane Ian, but my renewal for this March was only 10% higher. Hoping the crazy increases are slowing down.
Don't worry the governor and legislature are all over the insurance issue and are devoting all their time to solving it and not dumb things like making sure a gay pride flag is never flown in Florida.
Long range models bringing back the Azores High during peak summer, pushing more storms west to the Caribbean.
