Some Notable Pre-Olympics Russian Transfers: 74kg Cherman Valiev to Albania 74kg Razambek Zhamalov to Uzbekistan 57kg Azamat Tuskaev to.....Serbia?!?! Not sure what Tuskaev is doing, but the Zhamalov and especially the Valiev move makes 74kg much tougher. Serbia obviously has Stevan Micic at 57kg and I don't know their selection criteria but I'd be surprised if they're not just giving him the Olympic spot. Uzbekistan has another Russian transfer, Ilyas Bekbulatov, who at a time was looking like a future world champion, but never put it together due to weight/injury/gas tank/epic collapse issues. He's wrestling well again. Not sure who goes at 74kg for them but whoever does will be a strong medal threat, and a dangerous opponent for Sidakov or USA. Zhamalov did beat Bekbulatov last year (as well as Valiev...and Baev). Valiev will likely just get Albania's spot at 74kg and will have to qualify the weight for them.
