I liked them as a tag team. As singles competitors they are mid carders at best in that AEW roster. Their falling apart in real life to lead to Santana refusing to tag with him anymore was pretty much the nail in the coffin for him in AEW.
Guys I’m promise I’m not watching WWE I’m rewatching the PPV I just watched last night while scrolling Twitter that I have previously said over and over again that I specifically curated not to include WWE. Please don’t put it in the papers that I was watching WWE.

I’m not going back to dig up the posts but you have played dumb multiple times and mentioned that very thing that you don’t follow WWE and had no idea what was going on story wise.
I will say as an AEW guy, I will watch the last hour of Raw (outside of football season) because it’s the only thing on when I get home at 10 on Mondays. I will say that the in ring stuff is just as good for me, it’s a little slower but that’s just the WWE style. The promos can also be just as good depending on who has the mic. the thing that really separates them for me personally? it’s the announcing. I don’t know why but the announcing in WWE for me is like nails on a chalk board. It’s just spoon feeding you what you should be thinking and seeing. It sounds like they are just reading from a script to me
Nothing wrong with that. It’s still a little forced fed but it’s getting better with Vince gone. Even Cole is tolerable.
Yeah, a lot of that has always been Vince in the ears of the booth telling them what to say. And tbh, part of it is that I grew up listening to JR and Tony who have 40 years doing it at this point so it sounds a lot more natural and familiar to me in AEW. Hopefully WWE keeps improving on it because that just kills their shows for me

Watched the Sgt. Slaughter biography. I didn’t realize he got caught up in some stolen valor from living the gimmick. Also, the street fight at MSG with Pat Patterson is on YouTube. I had never seen a younger version of him. The Iraqi sympathizer angle was the most batshit thing Vince had ever booked. Jesse Ventura wanted them to burn an American flag on WWF TV.
