We have a 2nd row bench with 2 car seats. We would much prefer having captains chairs because it makes accessing the 3rd row much nicer. As it stands, we have to remove a booster, fold down the 2nd row to let people into the third row then put it back together. Things we wish we would have considered when we bought it pre-kids.
I was pretty adamant for middle row bench. I have a 3 row vehicle and leave the rear row folded down 99% of the time. You would be losing a seat if you went captain's chairs and I didn't want cargo sliding/rolling into the gap between the captain's chairs. I have 2 car seats fwiw. If you'll never use the 8th seat, then your calculus would be different. Also things change as your kids age up into buckling themselves, obv.
My wife's car has 2nd row captains chairs, much more comfortable. I like them a lot. Not really great for bigger dogs though. And I'll look later but don't think it would be easy to bridge gap Also transmission is going out on my car so I'm about to have to buy a new one when hers is only 2 years old, fucking sucks that was supposed to be my kids cars when they turn 16 at the end of next year and then I was going to get me one Edit: found very similar car online, no clue if 2nd row console can be removed but would be in the way for your dog problem Spoiler
We have a Sienna that has those (or at least they're basically same as front seats) and has an insert in between to seat 8. They're just fine. My bigger issue with it is the third row, which is the shittiest of shitty vinyl.
First thing we did when we got our 2005 Odyssey was remove the middle insert. 2-2-3 configuration worked just fine for 18 years
Yeah, unless you need it, no sense in it. The Sienna has a little pocket in the back to store it. We do unless we need an 8th seat for some random reason.
So I need to buy a car before September when my son turns 16, currently driving his future car so not in a rush. Interest rates were 2.99 last month and then fed announced 3 rates cuts this year so I was patiently waiting for another drop. Treasury yields popped up on Monday. Now rates are 4.99 fuck me. I don't really follow financial markets like I used to, and honestly don't know how they really correlate to what dealerships set. Somebody smart help me out, TIA
Food $200 Data $150 Rent $800 Maserati monthly repair bills $3,600 Utility $150 someone who is good at the economy please help me budget this. my family is dying
For once, I think the Limited trim looks better than the TRD one. I still like the Land Cruiser more (especially the interior layout).
I showed that 4runner to my wife whose TRD is getting up there in miles - 150K - and she said the same thing to my disappointment. I don't mind the Land Crusher, but love the 4runner.
we are looking at mid size SUVs, consumer reports has bmw x5 rated as maybe the highest I’ve ever seen. So that (sorry for cheating on you Toyota after all these years)
what color & interior you go with? Right now thinking skyscraper gray with coffee interior but haven’t seen that combo in person yet
Tanzanite/silverstone Really liked skyscraper. Could not find one optioned the way I wanted. I like cognac better than coffee. Coffee is pretty but dark.
Bought a car in February and my rate is 7% and I have 800+ credit score so I'm not too smart, can't help ya bud.
was it 70k? after my other post, I looked up comparable lease prices and they’re only $1050/month so that’s great
I'd have to be earning 500k/yr to buy a damn car for 70k no I bought a used 23k car and my monthly payments are 313
