I had a fling with a German girl and we lived together for the past 2 weeks, she had a travel bidet. Gamechanger
I want a large dog, athletic so that I can take into the mountains camping, not super high energy (like not border collie/aussie level), and a bonus would be minimal shedding. Rhodesian checks a lot of those boxes, but is a lot of work.
Back then in college there was one right next to a movie theater We would go get our movie tickets, not knowing how much wait time we had because we didn't have smart phones at our fingertips, and just go to chuckys next door for beers I remember vividly the day we walked in and the taps were gone
Tonight is literally my last night. Going to a good meal in Mex City, fly to the US tomorrow, start a year lease in Bellingham on May 1. Three years in Airbnbs and living out of a North Face duffel takes a toll. It was an incredible ride.
Went to my grand niece's bday party at Chuck E Cheese last month. Allowed to buy two beers total (one at a time) per I.D. and each person had to pay for their own.
We got a great Pyrenees border collie mix pup sixteen months ago. He has thoroughly trashed our home.
Aussies/border collies are incredibly loyal and great dogs, theyre just crackheads. Need to live on a farm and work their asses off.
We had one. We got her off the clearance rack of her breeder because her ridge didn't run all the way down her back. She wasn't any harder to raise than any other puppy I've ever had. Very smart. She was very protective over the kids, but completely gentle all the other time strangers weren't around. If I had a yard fit for a dog I'd get another one in a heartbeat.
If we leave him alone for five minutes he starts chewing on the base molding or couch cushions, whichever is closer
My high school gf’s mom bred Dobermans and Shelties. And Dobermans check all the boxes on your list. Some of the most loving dogs and the biggest babies too. They’re just as excited to go run around outside for hours or lay on the couch all day. Just want to do whatever you’re doing. They’re easy to train, smart, and have good personalities. But (just a personal opinion) people shouldn’t crop their ears. Makes them look mean when they’re not, and is also extremely painful with a long stressful recovery.
This bar/restaurant in CDMX just started playing SpottieOttieDopalicious and I'm watching the Braves on my phone. What is life
Was in CDMX over Presidents’ Day weekend. Should’ve asked for recs. Definitely want to go back some day though.
I think it's a top-5 city in the world for food. No hyperbole. In no order: Mexico City Bangkok Paris Rome (never been, but seems obvious) Tokyo (see above) Never been to China, so want to comment on Beijing. Vancouver's Chinese food scene is elite, but def "tier two"
1. Tokyo 2. NYC. Slight edge over Chicago due to sheer volume. Best US food city per capita might be Charleston 3. Barcelona 4. Any Italian city but we’ll go with Rome for size 5. Kyoto If the Greek isles could be counted as one city together they’d be up there.
There’s certainly some great food but you’re not going to find the same variety as the larger cities. Also have to deal with all the not so fun aspects of Nola. For that size city I’m taking Charleston but it’s a good argument
My Barcelona guys Also, went to a big ass calçotada in the middle of nowhere and it was fucking awesome.
I think NOLA has a lot better variety than Charleston. As much as I hate giving it credit, Houston is a contender too.
I’d agree with that, the variety comment was more re: NYC and Chicago. Miss me with that Houston shit though, not a fan of the city. The meals I’ve had there haven’t been very notable
houston is overrated also Charleston is worse than it was a decade ago, every time I go most the "best" spots are Instagram baity with average food. also the income inequality and shit there is nearly as bad as Nola its just more segregated. NOLA is king of mid sized cities
When I say a great food city, I mean more of the overall quality than just judging the best 20 restaurants. For example, the reason why I ranked Tokyo number one and Kyoto number five isn’t just because they have great top end restaurants, but more for the fact that it is nearly impossible to find a bad meal in those cities, whether it be at Michelin star restaurant or at a street vendor. New Orleans certainly has great restaurants, but there is also plenty of bad food there as well
