The Westerling switcharoo theory got me thinking of what other theories I buy into and I figured why not have a prediction thread sort of. Spoilers obviously for all books. R+L=J Zombie mountain Westerling switcharoo which means Robb Stark's heir is with the Blackfish and his momma. Now a few predictions Sandor Clegane will kill zombie Gregor with fire. Which dooms Cersei because she chooses Zombie Gregor instead of Jamie as her champion. Arya will be forced to kill someone of the Stark family to prove she's not Arya Stark anymore. Maybe Lady Stoneheart. Tyrion is one of Dany's dragon riders. Milasandre will resurrect Jon. Jon joins Stannis and fights the small Bolton force and crushes it with Manderly help.
I don't think Zombie Gregor and Sandor fight until well after Cersei's trial. I think ZG dominates whoever he fights in the trial and goes on to become infamous leading Sandor to figure out who he really is and come to kill him.
What island? the one at the mouth of the river with the monks on it? Dudes, the Hound is dead. D E D dead.
the hound is alive. he's the giant apprentice playing with the dog. an interesting theory i read that doesn't really add much to the story is that ramsay snow cut off theon's dick
Haven't heard the last of this imo: "I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai, and R'hllor shows me only Snow." Said this in another thread: I'm starting to think Jon "tempers the blade" by stabbing Melisandre to complete his transformation. It might even be her idea as her ultimate sacrifice for R'hllor.
I hope all of these come true except for Tyrion. I don't really want him to be a dragon rider. Seems out of character from what we know about him to this point. He's much better at manipulating people to do his bidding than being in the spotlight. Being a dragon rider would definitely be in the spotlight.
No. That nigga dead. I can understand why you folks don't want to let him go. He was a pretty awesome character who had a couple different potentially excellent story lines George could have taken him on but, no. He is dead. It was a pretty weak death and he was literally just left by the side of the road as the story moved on but he is dead.
Yeah I don't know if this is a troll or not but Sandor Clegane is absolutely alive. GRRM outright tells you he's alive in AFFC.
dude. bran's dream from book one: that's describing the hound, oberyn martell (possibly), and zombie gregor aka robert strong. sandor clegane is the novice on the quiet isle who is digging graves: 1. The gravedigger is a notably big man (like Sandor). 2. The gravedigger is injuried, and his injuries matches those Sandor has recieved. 3. Dog coming up to gravedigger and gravdigger's petting him is a obvious nod at the gravedigger's being Sandor. 4. When Brienne asks the abbot if Sandor is dead, he curiously replies that "he is in peace"; obviously meaning to mislead Brienne into believing that Sandor is dead without lying outright. 5. His horse is on the isle.
GODAMMIT everything I think I know about these goddamn book is fucking wrong! After reading this, yes, he is alive http://towerofthehand.com/blog/2010/09/16_the_golem_and_the_/index.html but:
One thing I really want to see tho is Lady Stoneheart realizing Jon wasn't Ned's bastard and never deserved what she gave him.
Theories I buy into Jon Snow is Azor Ahhai( Red eyes of Ghost, Golden eyes of the rest of the stark pups) The three Dragon Riders are Tyrion,Snow, and Daenerys Jon Snow is a love child of of Lyanna and Rhaegar There is a chapter in Book 1 with Old Nan telling Bran the story of the Last Hero and she blatantly states that All crows Lie. I firmly believe Bran is getting played by the Three Eyed Crow/Last Greenseer into the destruction of Man. I firmly believe the summer(Bran named his direwolf Summer is a nice touch) go and winters come as the earth tries to take control back from the evils of man and the Others are the tool by means to cleanse the evils of man. Anyone else reading through the books a second time with a fine toothed comb. I firmly enjoy just how deeply rooted the story is reading slowly through the second time. A couple of buddies and myself started ASOIAF book club. About 400 pages through the second read of Book 1. Been a huge enjoyment so far. Even go far as to read 10 chapters a week and taking detailed outlines. Have gained a real appreciation of GRRM from the seeds he plants for character/plot development, his foreshadowing, and usage of symbolism. One thing I always underline is his constant usage of eye color to define characters. I feel it is a great ploy used to define characters
Seconded, don't get a good vibe from Bloodraven. Hope to get more info in next Dunk&Egg Also, a personal one with no evidence, Jon Snow and Gerold Dayne are twin brothers.
I understand why people think otherwise, but I think Bloodraven is a good guy. Bran is going to help Jon realize his destiny the way the Children of the Forest did for Azor Ahai.
I'd certainly love to see John 'kill' her once and for all right after she realizes that. She's such an evil wench for hating a child like that
I know we all hate Cat, but in the grand scheme of this world, being mean to a kid is pretty low on the list of evil things that have been done.
What about Alleras (the guy sam meets at the citaldel) being Sarella the sandsnake? http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/topic/60725-alleras-the-sandsnake-a-complete-analysis/
I have nothing to add but that one of my favorite things about ASOIAF is how things that happened before the series actually started (Robert's Rebellion, Aegon the Conqueror, all the way back to Azor Ahai, Children of the Forest, etc.) have such a big effect on the books themselves.
I have silmarillion type expectations for World of Ice and Fire. That fat fuck better not die before he finishes it and the series. ... who am I kidding, he probably won't even finish the series.
Big George has decided to take a break from writing the novels to put together a historical reference book about old kings of the land, etc. Too much free time I suppose.
Spoiler illyrio and Serra had a son and that son is now the pretender Aegon. She had blonde/silver hair and blue eyes. Varys and illyrio hatched the plan after the baby's head and face were smashed to put him on the throne.
Also I read in a flight of sorrows Spoiler tyrion isn't tywin's son. He is the offspring of aery's rape of tywin's wife, thus the hatred but need to accept him for fear of what the mad king would do. It makes Tyrion a Targaryen
i don't agree with that. his hate probably stemmed from tyrion's birth killing joanna and the fact that tyrion has a hideous monster. there was no need to continue that farce after aerys died
It goes into Tywin not being able to prove it, which he says in the book, and how she might have kept it a secret from even him
Multicolored eyes on Tyrion... Also, I think Martin might be right not to finish it. Nothing is finished. The Game of Thrones never stops. Could've just as easily been about the period before, during, and just after Robert's rebellion.
